Tove Lo – Start Of A Promising Musical Journey
Tove Lo took her first steps towards songwriting by penning short stories and writing poetry. She enrolled at the Rytmus Musikergymnasiet, a music high school and started performing live with the band Tremblebee that comprised of fellow students and later ventured into gigs at night clubs. Gaining confidence she decided to compose her own songs and slipped a demo to the Warner Chappell, which earned her a publishing deal and a trip to Los Angeles to work with the ace producer and songwriter, Max Martin. For quite some time Lo wrote lyrics for other musicians including Girls Aloud, Icona Pop and Victoria Justice. She continued to be mentored by Max Martin and on the side started composing her own songs.
In 2012 Tove Lo released the single “Love Ballad” and in 2013 the immensely successful “Habits” followed. Both the songs were made public online and slowly Tove Lo started building a fan base. The strength of her following prompted a recording deal with Island and Polydor Records and thus Tove Lo began her international music career.
