Seattle Theatre Group is presenting the Three of Clubs tour featuring an exciting lineup of Swedish alternative rock act The Royal Concept, the 'laid-back dudes' of pop-rock American Authors, and three New York natives' indie group, Mister Wives.
Three of Clubs tickets are the new sought-after treat among indie-rock fans that are always looking for the next big thing.
The Royal Concept, who are headlining the Three of Clubs tour, were formed in 2010 in Sweden. The band comprises of drummer Franz Povel, bassist Robert Magnus, guitarist Filip Bekic and keyboardist/guitarist/vocalist David Larson. The rock act has released many singles in three years including Lost in You, Naked and Dumb, World on Fire, Gimme Twice, DD-Dance, Damn and their most recent, On Our Way. So far, they have released two EP titled The Royal Concept and Royal, and a studio album called Goldrushed.
Brooklyn-based indie rock band American Authors, previously known as The Blue Pages, consists of Zachary Barnett as guitarist/lead vocalist, James Adam Shelley as banjo-player/lead guitarist, Matt Sanchez as drummer and Dave Rublin as bassist. The band members came across each other in 2006 while enrolled at Berklee College of Music. The four spent their initial yeas in Boston where they performed as well as recorded Rich With Love and Anthropology under the title of The Blue Pages. They then moved to Brooklyn, changed their name, and debuted with single Believer, which brought them attention from alternative rock radio channels.
Their next single Best Days of My Life became quite a hit that featured in various advertisements as well as in the film, Delivery Man's trailer. It was also used as the opening sequence in ESPN's poker World Series of 2013.
Formed in 2012, MisterWives comprises of three New Yorkers who set out to produce, perform as well as independently compose their music. Their characteristic sound can be described to have indie-soul-pop sensibilities and has been very well received in different parts of New York and its most prominent venues. The band's lineup includes vocalist Mandy Lee, dirty bassist William Hehir, dirty drummer Etienne Bowler, guitarist Marc Campbell, accordion-player/keyboardist/trumpeter Dr. Blum and saxophonist Murph Dawg. They have cited the likes of No Doubt, Radiohead, Sublime, Regina Spektor, The Police, Of Monsters and Men, Walk the Moon, The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Flletwood Mac, ABBA, The Smiths and Brazilian Girls, as their key influences.
Their live set has often incorporated various other musicians on trumpet, sax, strings and guitar, adding to their unique brand of sound.
