Details of Thomas D and the Ticket Luck value
If you are a lover of a German hip hop group and you dont know about German Great rapper Thomas D., then you should think again and, frankly speaking your claim has no roots. One of the best German hip hop groups is Die Fantastischen Vier and Thomas D. is a rapper in that group. He is married, has one daughter and a son.
Other members of the group are Micheal Beck, Micheal B. Schmidt and Andreas Rieke. Thomas D. had joined the group in 1989. This was the first German Group to produce the hip hop music in German language.
Lets have a brief look on the history of German music in general and hip hop groups in particular. In the world of music, Germans have some very big names from classical music to modem hip hop music. At the beginning of 15 century, Oswald von Wolkenstein was a big name in the classical music. He toured across Europe learning about classical traditions, spending times in countries like France and Italy.
When he came back to Germany, he had learned some techniques and styles with him. This had provided a base for the development of music and within 100 years, Germany had begun producing composers renowned across the Europe. One great name was Conrad Paumann. Some other big musicians were the likes of Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Handel, Brahms or Mahler.
Another testimony of great German music producer is the fact that outside the United States, Germany generates the most sales for recorded hip hop and has more vibrant scenes in the world. Although this form of music had arrived in 1980s and Graffiti art and break dancing became well -known quickly, with hip hop crews appearing soon afterwards.
The big commercial success started in 1992 with the hit Die Da from Fantastischen Vier from Stuttgart. The band was making some thing different from others with funny and sophisticated hip hop. Another group R?delheim Hartreim Projekt tried to copy the USA like gangster rap in Germany.
This was the time when Thomas Durr played a vital role in the Die Fantastischen Vier as a raper. So, with this hit hip hop music, the great rapper Thomas D. hasd made his name in the Fantastischen Vier group. He was born in Ditzingen a town close to Stuttgart, Germany. After finishing Realscule he started training as a barber. As he frequently work as care taker, he gave himself the stage name Hausmeister Thomas D. during that period he had excelled as a rapper.
For several years, he lived as a vegetarian and supports the animal rights organization PETA. While working with PETA he has learned a lot about animal rights and activities to protect them in Germany. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) with more than 2.0 million members and supporters, PETA is the largest animal rights organization in the world.
The organization has four areas of attention in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time. So he joined PETA with letter and spirit and refrain from eating meat for some years.
His affiliation with PETA turned to a new dimension in 2003 when he was criticized for his radical approval of their exhibition Holocaust on Your Plate, which compared keeping animals in mass stocks to the crimes of holocaust. This was a very controversial step which has forced Thomas D to quit the organization.
As a member of Die Fantastischen Vier, he has a very good reputation. He frequently works on solo projects as well. He was successful with solo albums like Solo (1997), Lektionen in Demut (2001) and Kennzeichen D (2008). Singles released from these albums include Ruckenwind, Fris?r, Liebesbrief, and Solo (featuring Nina Hagen).
These songs were very popular especially in Germany. In Europe and the USA, he is best known for Wish (Komm zu mir) which he performed with Frank Potente on the sound track of the movie Run Loa Run. Run Lola Run (original German title Lola rennt, translates as Lola Runs) is a 1998 German film written and directed by Tom Tykwer, and starring Franka Potente as Lola and Moritz Bleibtreu as Manni.
It is worth mentioning here that the song Wish (actually sung and written by Potente) alters mood and atmosphere. In the first, the music was played in the wake of alertness; the second displays danger. What a good beat it was?The third is upbeat with additional lyrics such as Never Say Never. Another thing which should be noted is that the third sequence's music explains Lola's true emotions and efforts.
Thomas D. is mainly known for his poetic lyrics that stretch over each of his verses. Sometimes it sounds as if he says a whole verse without taking a breath. This was the main element of the song Wish. He was also singer and songwriter of the band Son Goku, who entered the German charts with Alle fur Jeden (album: Crashkurs) in 2002.
Recently, it was learned that Thomas Durr, is back on tour without the other three members of his hip-hop band, Die Fantastischen Vier.
The rap philosopher will tour his home country next month (December) just before celebrating his 40th birthday and the 20th anniversary of his band. His third solo album, Kennzeichen D has just come out which is a good seven years after the release of his last performance.
