The Thrilling Adventure Hour Tickets

Each month, The Thrilling Adventure Hour is held at the Coronet Theatre. One of the most popular live stage shows of its kind today, it has been held regularly since 2005. In each of the show's productions, which have become more like a TV series episodes, three segments are presented. It also comes complete with fictional commercials and songs. Aaron Gisburg is the show's director, with Ben Blacker and Ben Acker as the writers. The original songs performed in the show are composed by Andy Paley, who is also the band leader, with Ben Blacker and Ben Acker as the songwriters. Many guest stars have appeared live on The Thrilling Adventure Hour. These include the likes of Nathan Filion, famous for playing Richard Castle, in Castle the TV series. The idea came to the creator in his living room, during the reading of the script for his movie, Sparks Nevada, Marshal on Mars. Eventually, the idea of a live stage show with actors holding scripts in their hands was formed. The first production was held in 2005, at Hollywood's M Bar. The show's main cast, the WorkJuice Players, began the work with Dave Allen, Craig Cackowski, Paget Brewster, Hal Lubin, Mark Gagliardi, Annie Savage, Marc Evan Jackson and Paul F Tompkins.

By the sixth episode of The Thrilling Adventure Hour, Eban Schletter joined the live band and by the seventh show, musical content created, with the Andy Paley Orchestra performing the songs and playing live. The band's lineup at that time included Ben Jaffe, Jillinda Palmer and Brittney Westover. The eighth episode saw many more actors and artists joining the show, such as Samm Levine, Joel Spence, Danny Strong, John DiMaggio and James Urbaniak. Aaron Ginsburg became the show's director. Common Rotation, a renowned band, appeared as a guest and then became a regular, with a special segment named after it.

Five years later, in 2010, The Thrilling Adventure Hour's last episode at the M Bar was staged, and then it was moved to the Largo at the Coronet Theatre. In 2011, the show started podcasts of past performances and also went on tour for the first time, performing live at the SF Sketchfest. Later that year, it became part of a group of podcasts released by Nerdist Industries, run by Chris Hardwick. It became famous for the Nerdist podcast. Today, the show has several recurring segments. The first of these is Sparks Nevada, Marshal on Mars, which features Marc Evan Jackson as Sparks Nevada, Mark Gagliardi as Croach the Tracker, Busy Philipps as The Red Plains Rider and Nathan Fillion of Castle fame as Cactoid Jim the King of the Martian Frontier. 

The Sparks Nevada, Marshal on Mars segment also features Linda Cardellini, playing Rebecca Rose Rushmore, Josh Malina playing Barkeep of the Space Saloon and Jenny Wade playing Mercy Laredo. The other recurring segment is Beyond Belief, in which Paget Brewster and Paul F. Tompkins play Sadie and Frank Doyle, two married mediums who solve paranormal mysteries. Other segments that are aired on and off are The Adventures of Captain Laserbeam and Amelia Earhart: Fearless Flyer.

The shows often include famous guest stars, Usually actors from famous TV shows and movies.
