The two brothers auditioned for the fourth season of The Voice, singing Heartbreakers and Tom Petty’s “American Girl”. Their amazing vocals highly impressed the three judges, Shakira, Usher and Blake Shelton. After being selected, the two chose Blake Shelton as their coach for the entire season. The Swon Brothers sang “Seven Bridges Road” in the top eight live performances. The song was sung to give tribute to the Oklahoma Tornado victims and stood third in the performance.
The Voice was not the first and only talent show that the boys have tried their luck in. The brothers were seen on a local television show called, Gimme the Mike. Colton Swon also appeared on American Idol in the same year and made it to the Top 48. The Swon Brothers have also come up with some independent albums featuring singles such as "This Close to Gone" and “Oklahoma Lovin”.
Their debut album Another Day, released in 2009. The brothers described the genre on the record as modern country. Highly influenced by the band Eagles, The Swon Brothers include a slightly similar sound into their musical style.
