One of the hottest genres of music, salsa music has long entertained people all over the world. The word Salsa translates to "sauce" and the music is true to the meaning. It features fast rhythms, catchy beats and is music that is bound to get the listeners on their feet. Salsa first made its way to America in the early 70's, when the Cuban and Puerto Rican community in New York started performing locally. Today it has become a globally recognized music genre.

This year, some of the biggest guns of the salsa music industry are coming together to perform on one stage. Lo Mejor De Los 90, (The Best of the 90's), is a salsa concert where acts such as Tony Vega, Lalo Rodriquez, Raulin Rosendo, Tito Rojas, Eddie Santiago and many others will be performing live. The concert is produced by Adam Torres Concerts. This production company is responsible for the launch of some of the biggest names of the industry and it is also the brainchild behind some of the biggest concerts of the past.

Lalo Rodriguez is one of salsa's premier stars. Born in 1958, he got his big break when he collaborated with Eddie Palmieri on a Grammy winning record. He is the winner of various awards and is often compared to the likes of Jose Alberto who is perhaps the most iconic salsero. Rodriquez will be joined by Andre Montanez. Montanez has been around on the scene since the early 60's and today, he stands as a Grammy winning salsa artist at the forefront of the genre.

Another famous artist on the bill includes Raulin Rosendo. Rosendo has often been regarded as one of the biggest names in the industry after the phenomenal success of his albums such as Llego La Ley and Mama vieja. Tito Rojas has also been confirmed for the night. Rojas has a discography of over thirty super hit albums that have given him super hit songs such as Humildemente, Pal' Pueblo and A Mi Estilo. They will be joined by New Jersey native Frankie Negron, who is fast becoming a force in salsa music and is responsible for popularizing the genre in his locale.

Eddie Santiago will also come in for a performance in this salsa spectacular. He has been around since 1984, and has produced super hit music that has made him one of the top salsa singers especially in romantic salsa. His recent return to music gave him a Grammy nomination for "Salsa Album of the Year." Another Grammy winner joining the roster of performers will be Jerry Rivera, a Latin Grammy and Grammy Award winner who has produced hit singles such as Que Hay de Malo, Ese, Quiero and Vuela Muy Alto.

While salsa fans are thrilled about these artists, perhaps the biggest name that will be performing is the "Princesa de la Salsa" (The Princess of Salsa), Linda Viera Caballero. Caballero, popularly referred to as La India, is an award winning, Grammy and Latin Grammy nominated artist who has spawned super hit albums such as Sobre el Fuego, Dicen Que Soy and Soy Diferente. Fans are super thrilled to be able to watch her along with some of the top ranked artists of the genre performing on one stage.

The venue for the 2014 concert will be the Barclays Center in New York City. A state of the art building, it was inaugurated in 2012, and since then, it has become one of the busiest arenas in the city. With a seating capacity of around twenty thousand, the center is perfect for a night that promises to bring together some of Salsa's biggest names and their countless fans.
