Telluride Bluegrass Tickets

The Telluride Bluegrass Festival is an annual bluegrass music festival that has been taking place each year since 1974. It is held annually at Telluride, Colorado and is organized by Planet Bluegrass. Though it has traditionally featured bluegrass music artists and groups, it usually has artists from other genres of music. In 1974, the first year it was organized, it attracted more than one thousand people, an amazing number at the time. Today, it attracts over ten thousand people and as early as 1980, its performances were being filmed by Boulder TV and being distributed as CDs. The Telluride Bluegrass Festival has featured a number of most famous country music artists and artists from other genres of music. This is a list that includes the Alison Krauss, Sam Bush, Dixie Chicks, Mumford & Sons, Tim O'Brien, Béla Fleck, New Grass Revival, The Allman Brothers Band, Yonder Mountain String Band, Counting Crows and John Prine. This year, as with all other years the Telluride Bluegrass Festival has been held, a number of artists are set to perform on the main stage. During the first day, Thelma & Louise will perform featuring Bela Fleck and Chris Thile. They will be followed by Della Mae, Dan Mangan, the Greensky Bluegrass, Laura Marling and John Prine. Alison Krauss & Union Station will wrap up the day, featuring Jerry Douglas.
 
The next day of the festival will see it kicked off by Mike Marshall and Edgar Meyer. They will be followed by Serym Head for the Hills, O'Brien Party of Seven, Bela Flecks & The Marcus Roberts Trio, the Del McCoury Band and John Fogerty. Leftover Salmon's performance will mark the end of the day. The third day of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival will feature Band Contest Finals opening up on the main stage and followed by the Band Contest Finals, Run Boy Run, The Devil Makes Three, Jerry Douglas featuring Viktor Krauss & Omar Hakim, the Yonder Mountain String Band,  k.d. lang & the Siss Boom Bang, Sam Sush Band and Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers performing the last concert of the day.
 
Alison Krauss & Union Station is one of the groups performing at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. It is led by Alison Krauss who is an artist from Decatur, Illinois who sings and plays the viola and the fiddle. She has been performing live since 1984 and has been associated with many great artists such as Dolly Parton, Rhonda Vincent, Brad Paisley and Jerry Douglas. She began a career in music at the age of ten and released her first album while she was just fourteen years old. To date, she has released over fourteen albums and had her music appear on many soundtracks.
 
Alison Krauss has been responsible for creating a renewed interest in Bluegrass music in the US. She hes performed all over the world, at events such as the Academy Awards ceremony in 2004. When it comes to the Grammy Awards, she is the recipient of the largest number, twenty seven awards, out of forty one nominations. In total, Alison Krauss has won fifty six awards out of ninety seven award nominations, a feat that definitely makes her performance with Union Station a must see live at this bluegrass music festival, through cheap Telluride Bluegrass Festival tickets.
