Electronic Dance Music fans are in for a very special treat because one of genre's biggest event, the Tomorrowland Music Festival is now just around the corner. The show is among major highlights of the annual calendar that brings together some of the most famous names in the business on stage to perform. Hundreds and thousands of fans buy Tomorrowland Music Festival tickets each year to be a part of the proceedings and it certainly will not be any different this time around either.
The Tomorrowland Music Festival is among the most anticipated EDM events of the year. It is held at Boom in Belgium. The event is looked after and organized by "ID&T" which is an entertainment organization from Netherlands. It was founded by Irfan, Duncan and Theo and their names in that particular order are what ID&T stands for.
Slowly but surely the organization began to grow in stature in the 1990's and began to organize some epic shows for the fans to be a part of. "The Final Exam" turned out to be their first major impact making event that drew in a crowd of over ten thousand people. That put them on the way and they followed that up with one sensational event after another.
Tomorrowland Music Festival is among ID&T's most famous of all events. The inaugural edition of the festival was held in the year 2005. The event is a bit of a fairy tale event since the decorations and the whole setup resembles something straight out of a fairytale story. 14th August, 2005 saw the Tomorrowland Music Festival come to the fore for the first time ever. The likes of Cor Fijneman, Technoboy, Coone, Armin van Buuren, Push and Yves Deruyter headlined that historic show and played their part in turning it into a huge hit.
What began as a one day event turned into a two day long music extravaganza in 2007. That helped take its popularity further and next year saw over fifty thousand fans turn up for this fabulous show. It was the first ever that the attendance figure had topped the fifty thousand mark.
With the festival attracting more and more attention, ID&T decided to change its look a little as well. That helped and attendance swelled to over eighty thousand in 2009. It was a rip roaring success. That incredible reception increased EDM fans excitement even more which led to over one hundred and twenty thousand fans buying Tomorrowland Music Festival tickets for the 2010 edition.
A new chapter was added to the legacy of this wonderful show in 2011 when the duration was expanded to three days. That change was inevitable because it had by now become one of the most anticipated and among the biggest music festivals in the world. The festival didn't take too long to completely sell-out. In excess of one hundred and eighty thousand fans turned walked through the gates and turned it into one brilliant dance party. The Tomorrowland Music Festival 2011 edition got widespread acclaim and also won an "International Dance Music Award" too for its efforts.
Well over a whopping four hundred DJ's from across the globe turned up to perform next year. One hundred and eight five thousand fans from multiple countries made their way to Belgium to attend the festival that year. Needless to say, it was another brilliant effort by artists and the management team.
The Tomorrowland Music Festival is vibrant and it brings to life everything that is so great about Electronic Dance Music. It connects people from different backgrounds on one platform. It has gone from strength to strength over the years and the latest edition promises to outshine its predecessors. So if you are an EDM fan then grab your tickets and get ready to dance live.
