Tamara Gverdtsiteli is an accomplished vaudeville singer belonging to Russia. She is often called the “Russian Edith Piaf”. She is of Georgian origin and is an excellent chanson. She was born in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia and her distinctive music talent became known to the world when she was only nine. Even when she couldn’t sing, Tamara Gverdtsiteli used to hum; hence she learnt music before learning to speak. Music has been a part of her soul, as evident from her life. Now this extraordinary singer is coming to your town to fill your evening with music. You can attend the upcoming concert with Tamara Gverdtsiteli tickets.
Tamara Gverdtsiteli has mastered vaudeville music. She left Georgia during the civil war and for four years lived and worked in France. Her music has been taken to royal halls such as Olympia Hall in Paris and New York’s Carnegie Hall. When she reached the age of 10, she already had a strong cognitive voice. Because her mother recognized her talent, she was enrolled in Tbilisi Conservatory School where she majored in musicology. At the age of ten, she was also the soloist for “Mziuri” a children choir.
Tamara Gverdtsiteli later graduated in piano playing as well as music composing. She calls Michel Legrand the legend as her idol and in 1991 her dreams came true when she finally met him and Jean Drezhakom in Paris. She was offered to join him on the stage which was yet another huge honor for the young aspiring artist. Since then she hasn’t looked back and has found fame as well as critical acclaim because of her delicate compositions and a very strong, influential voice. She continues to perform in her native land as well as internationally.
Tamara Gverdtsiteli sings in seven different languages, Spanish, Georgian, English, Russian, Italian and French, a talent only a few singers have. She has gained international fame because of the strength in her voice and the way she communicates with the audiences. Apart from that her elegant personality does half of the magic. Because of all these talents, she has become one of the favorite personalities and singers of her fans. She is also the winner of several awards and recognitions including ‘People’s Artist of Georgia Award’, which was given to her in 1989.
