Sunset Festival Tickets

The Sunset Festival at the House of Blues in West Hollywood Sunset Strip is going to feature some of the most prominent heavy metal bands in the United States. The current lineup for the event includes big names like The faceless, DevilDriver,Dying Fetus, Impending Doom, Three inches of Blood and many more. Considering the number of heavy metal bands part of this festival a lot of people are referring to it as the metal alliance tour.
 
DevilDriver or Deathride as they were known as previously are a relatively newer band to have entered the music scene considering the band was formed in 2002 but are one of the main attractions at the Sunset festival later this year. In only ten years, the band has released ten studio albums and an EP with roughly a two year gap between each new release. Their music mostly falls within the category of heavy meatal, groove metal and melodic death metal. Three of the current band members John Boecklin, Dez Fafara and Jeff Kendrick have been with the group for its early days. Only Mike Spreitzer who plays guitar joined the other three two years later in 2004. The band released its self titled debut album in 2003 with twelve tracks on it. The album was not liked by many critics and received a three star rating from Allmusic, but after the song Devil's Son from this album was featured on the sixth season of hit TV show Scrubs, the sales improved considerably. Two years later the group released its second album called The Fury of Our Maker's Hand. Compared to their previous release this album was a much better commercial and critical success. The band continued to climb the ladder of success with the release of their every new album. Their fourth release Pray for Villains entered the The BillBoard 200 at numer thirty five and sold more than fourteen thousand copies only in the first week.
 
Coming to the Sunset Festival at the House of Blues Sunset strip in West Hollywood is the hit technical death metal act Dying Fetus. The band which started in the early nineties has only one original member from the nineties left in the group John Gallagher. Their claim to fame in the death metal and hardcore punk music genre is their ability to mix their music with stronger political themes and issues of the day.  Their music has a very distinct sound with a lot of blast beats, heavy metal slams and complex riffing.  The band released its first album Purification through Violence in 1996, after having released demo tape Bathe in Entrails demotape in 1993. The album had a runtime of less than thirty minutes and featured only eight tracks. Only recently the album was rereleased by the band's current label and featured additional songs Raped on the Altar and Beaten into Submission. Killing on Adrenaline was the band's next release and was followed by their third studio album Destroy the Opposition in 2000. Their third album marked a significant change in their music as far as the lyrical content was concerned with political themes becoming more prominent.  The band released its sixth album Descend into Depravity in 2009 to rave reviews and commercial success.
 
The Faceless are also a part of the Sunset Festival this year. The band though has released only two albums so far, they have managed to create for themselves a huge fan following because of the quality of their music. Their second album Planetary Duality sold more than five thousand albums in its second week and featured such popular songs as Prison Born, The Ancient Covenant and Legion of the Serpent.  The fans are going to enjoy each and every song from their performance.
