With an aim of finding the most talented dancers in each city, the show holds several auditions across a number of different cities in America while welcoming all sorts of dancing styles in the auditions.
After the auditioning all the dancers battle it out on the dancing floor to earn a chance to win the grand prize which, in the previous year, comprised on Hybrid SUV, US$ 100,000 along with a dancing role in Celine Dion's Las Vegas Show that worth US$ 250,000. After the selection of 10 finalists the voting is based on couples rather than individual voting. The viewers do get the opportunity to vote for their favorites individually when they perform their solo's during the top ten finals.
Near the season finale of the show, all the contestants dances with each other and by the end of the show judges pick their favorite dance of the season and dances have to perform it again.
