Details of Say Anything and the Ticket Luck value
A few acts in the world today do music for the sake of music. The music industry has become such a commercial enterprise that the true meaning of music has been lost. Most artists spend more time on press and advertisement than they do on the actual record, something that is an eye-sore for true music fans and true musicians alike. There are still many artists out there who haven't been drawn into the hype machine and make music because they love it. One of those new age bands is Say Anything.
This pop/rock influenced band was formed in 2000 by lead singer and song writer Max Bemis and his university friend, the drummer Coby Linder as Sayanything, with no space between the words. The band had a total of four members at its inception but the band format and members have changed almost every year since their first year. Current members include Alex Kent on bass guitar, Jake Turner on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Parker Case on keyboards, guitar and vocals with Jeff Turner on guitar and backing vocals in addition to the two original members.
The original line-up of the band released 'Junior Varsity' and 'In Your Dreams' as EP's and also released their first full length album called 'Baseball: An Album by Sayanything'. These few tries got them faint recognition in their hometown of California and their Indie rock sound proved to be a hit amongst the underground scene in the area.
br/>By garnering enough praise through their underground stints and live shows, the band had started to give rise to a war between record companies as to who would be able to sign them. They eventually signed a major record deal in 2003 and released their debut album '... Is a Real Boy' in 2003, the album was later re-issued with the name '... Was a Real Boy' in 2004. This album was the real breakthrough for the band and was praised by critics from such places as Rolling Stone and AllMusic. It also included their hit song 'Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too'.
br/>The band's third full length album was to be the critically acclaimed 'In Defense of the Genre'. This album included hits such as 'Baby Girl, I'm a Blur' and received airplay on MTV and MTVu. The next album from Say Anything is their self titled album, the lead singer Max is quoted to say that this will be a new direction for the band.
Say Anything is widely regarded as an Indie/Pop/Rock band. Their lyrics are poetic to say the least and their music has many layers and skins. The band is a fresh escape from the cliche of the pop music industry as their content brings out new ideas and expressions, something that is needed in the music industry today.
Say Anything is currently on tour to support the new album and will be playing dates all over America. To get a chance to catch this new age sensation live, get your Say Anything Show Tickets at first instance.
