Salsa Palooza is a musical celebration and no one knows how to make it exciting better than Jerry Rivera. The Puerto Rican singer released his first album titled Empezandro A Vivir in 1989, followed by next release Abriendo Puertas which produced several hits including Esa Nina, Nada Sin Ti, Dime and Como un Milagro. These climbed up to the number one spot on Puerto Rican hits charts and soon became popular among US Hispanic populations and across Latin America. He has since played live in France, Japan, Sweden, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, Spain, the US, Panama, Honduras, Columbia and Venezuela.
To date, he has released up to twenty albums, the most recent among which titled Jerry Christmas was released in 2012. His most loved singles include El Amor Existe, Solo Con Un Beso, Solo Pienso En Ti, Yira Yira, Cuesta Abajo, Mi Libertad, Vuela Muy Alto, Quiero, Ese, Te Recordare, Llorare, Suave, Magia, Loco de Amor, and Fresco, among many more.
India is another such artist who like Rivera has been nominated for both Latin Grammy and Grammy Awards. She is a house music/salsa singer who recorded her first song when only fourteen. The song was Come Get My Love when she played with Latin freestyle band TKA. She has been recording for her next album with producer, Jan Gabriel, who is a prominent Mexican musician. To date, she has released nine studio albums, alongside producing various hit singles such as Unica, Soy Diferente, Sola, Sobre el Fuego, Jazzin, Dicen Que Soy, Breaking Night and Latin Songbird: Alma y Corazon.
Eddie Santiago, who is to appear at both Salsa Palooza concerts, is a Puerto Rican singer who has been playing music since he was a child, performing with the likes of Orquesta Opus, Orquesta Saraguey, Orquesta La Potente, and Generacion 2000. His career began in 1984 in Latin America and Puerto Rico as a soloist. He formed his own band and recorded songs like Tu me quemas, Me Fallaste, Tu Me HAces Falta, and Que Locura Enamorarme Ti. His fame spread across the US and Europe, bringing him among the most well-known salsa singers of the eighties and nineties. He was recognized as a major singer of romantic salsa, a reputation he still maintains. He has released many US Tropical chart-topping albums like Atervido, Sigo Atrevido, Invasion de la Privacidad, Soy el Mismo, New Wave Salsa and Atrevido y Diferente.
Tito Nieves is recognized as one of the biggest salsa singers of the eighties and nineties who recorded hits like Sonambulo, Amor Mas Bonito, as well as his English-salsa hit titled I Like It Just Like That. Another salsa legend is salsa bandleader and singer Tito Rojas who is known for his solo albums Sensual, A Mi Estilo, Condename and Por Propio Derecho, among which the latter most brought him on the Latin Billboards charts. In 2002, Rojas played and recorded live from Las Vegas with his band. This album was released as Tito Rojas Live with Roberto Roena featured as special guest playing the bongos.
