The album came out number one on the iTunes Albums chart of USA within a few hours of its release. It also reached at number two on the Billboard 200 selling more than 78,000 copies. In 2012, the duo appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and performed their track "Same Love". Macklemore has also been featured in the new series Primed, in 2013.
The other part of the duo Ryan Lewis is an American musician, producer and rapper. He is also a known photographer and currently serves works as a DJ. He is best known for his collaboration with Macklemore. Ever since the two have come together, Ryan has recorded, engineered, produced and blended all genres of music. He has directed some music videos like "Same Love", "And We Danced", "Thrift Shop" and "Otherside", designed visuals and performs as a DJ in a number of live shows. He has worked on several projects with Macklemore and also kicked off a number of tours with him as well.
