The Queen Extravaganza is a tribute band of the legendary group Queen, comprising of drummer Roger Taylor and Brian May, the musical and writing genius of whom has influenced several modern artists such as red Hot Chilli Peppers, Katy Perry, the Foo Fighters and Lady Gaga whose name is based on one of Taylor’s big hits. The tribute band basically aims to hold live concerts on their Queen Extravaganzaa tour which is set to stop and perform in twenty-seven different cities of United States and Canada. The group will perform a set list of thirty-three Queen songs. In creating such a tribute group, Taylor’s idea was to hold the ultimate Queen show experience that would celebrate the band’s legacy and music through the performances of some of the most skilled and talented new musicians. Taylor has chosen to be personally involved and is the group’s music director and producer. The Queen Extravaganza tickets will make a mind-blowing treat not only for the original Queen fans but also for the general rock fans.
The lineup of The Queen Extravaganza includes five musicians and four vocalists that were hired after very thorough and extensive auditions lasting twelve weeks of online search. In fact, the hype that surrounded these public auditions became a subject of much intrigue among aspiring musicians who submitted video samples, which were viewed from people all over the world. Impressed by this level of keenness and talent, TV personality Ellen Degeneres invited one candidate to perform on his show. The contestant was no other than Marc Martel who secured a spot for himself in the touring band. The lineup of the band now includes guitarist Tristan Avakian, bassist Francois-Olivier Doyon, musical director and keyboardist Brandon Ethridge, vocalist Jennifer Espinoza, guitarist Brian Gresh, drummer Tyler Warren and vocalists Marc Martel, Yvan Pedneault and Jeff Scott Soto.
The upcoming show by The Queen Extravaganza has been announced to run for more than two hours of performing time and a half an hour intermission. The set list is said will include the most classic Queen tunes that have been chosen from the group’s most successful all-time charts hits such as One Vision, Bohemian Rhapsody, Lazing on a Sunday and I’m in Live with My Car. The songs will also include the Queen’s best hard rock anthems that have been long considered to form the very core of their concert performances, which will provide the audience with a good dose of Queen’s early period songs like TieYour Mother Down, In the Lap of Gods and Seven Seas of Rye.

Another exciting feature of the show that hardcore Queen fans will just love, is that the show will include video footage of the band which has never been seen before.
According to Taylor, The Queen Extravaganza concert will not be like any other regular tribute show, instead it is an all new show that will win the hearts of new fans as well as allow its previous fans to cherish the legacy of by Queen.
