Pain killer Hotel
An American Indie Rock band, Painkiller Hotel, was formed in Chicago, Illinois. The band was formed by Kevin Eddie Prez Presbrey, who is also the vocalist, guitarist and the song writer of the band.
The original line up of the band consisted of guitarist Klaus Luchs, Adam Harker who is the bassist of the band, and the drummer of the band Mike Rusty Krow Krull. But later, however, the line up of the band changed as Krull and Luchs left the band, and Krull was replaced by a new drummer Jeff Kissel, and Luchs was replaced the guitarist Leif Hendrixon.
After the formation, band played in local clubs and pubs for their first few years in Midwest. After earning enough exposure and recognition the band released its debut album titled Black Roses. Black Roses was released during the spring season of the 2007, and it was released independently.
Later that year, the band signed their first record deal with an independent record label Severe Records, which is based in Nashville. After the band was signed to Severe Records, their debut album was re released nationwide this year on January 22.
Painkiller Hotel is still struggling for its main stream exposure, according to All Musics William Ruhlmann Chicago rock quartet Painkiller Hotel, led by singer/guitarist Kevin Presbrey, plays melodic mainstream rock of a sort that, when marketed well, often sells in the millions.
Black Roses comprises of 10 tracks including You Dont Know What Youre Missing, which has a grungy sound to it, along with All I Ever Wanted, which is a balled.
Their album is led by the track Voice in My Head, which if popularized properly, has a potential of being the main stream success. Although it wasnt released as the bands single still it seems to be bands single from the album when listening to it. Other tracks from the album also include Becoming Someone Else, Brightest Flame, So Far Away and How Was I Supposed to know.
Presleys vocals and the way he plays guitar, reflects his influence taken from the bands like Nickel Back and Creed. The lyrics of the songs are pretty much straight forward, but the way theyre sung gives them a polished and mainstream sound.
