The Caribana weekend in Canada is made more special every year with OVO Fest, Drake's very own musical extravaganza. With over 40,000 fans attending the event in previous years, the 2014 event is going to be the fifth installment of OVO Fest. As usual, it is going to be held in Drake's hometown Toronto. The venue changes; one year it was Rogers Centre and this year it's going to be Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. The festival's lineup has always been exciting. This time, in addition to Drake and other special guests, the festival will feature OutKast, the Georgia-based hip hop duo. The duo was originally known as Two Shades Deep and its musical style was a mix of G-funk and Dirty South. The hip hoppers later changed their name to OutKast and added the elements of electronic music, blues, jazz, rock and soul to their music.

The two came together in 1992, releasing albums such as ATLeins, Aquemini, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and Stankonia. They went on to pursue solo careers in 2007, announcing in 2014 that they are coming together to celebrate OutKast's 20^th anniversary. With six Grammy Awards and selling more than 25 million records, OutKast is counted in the list of hip hop groups that have been immensely successful. OVO Fest - OutKast event will see them headlining the event, featuring work from all six of their critically acclaimed albums and also some new stuff.

OVO Fest's lineup has always featured the very best of hip hop and R&B talent from the country since it started off in 2010. Last year, the festival featured the likes of Frank Ocean and James Blake. The 2013 event was also headlined by Big Sean, TLC and Diddy with a special guest appearance from Kanye West. In years before that, artists who have headlined the event includes 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka Flame, Rock Ross, Snoop Dogg, The Weekend, A$AP Rocky, Nicki Manaj and French Montana. And that is not all because some really big named artists have also graced the stage at this brilliant music festival. These include artists none other than Eminem, J.Cole, Stevie Wonder, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z.

The two-day event of OVO Fest - OutKast will be held at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, commonly known as Molson Amphitheatre. The 2013 event was also held at the Amphitheatre. The venue seems to have become a favorite of OVO Fest with a capacity of holding around 16,000 spectators in its semi-enclosed outdoor structure. The state-of-the-art acoustic facilities allow it to be just appropriate for diverse genres of music including jazz, pop and rock. That is why it also makes a perfect venue for a hip hop event of OVO Fest's stature.  

OVO Fest is brilliant; and the credit goes to this 24-year old rapper for organizing an event which features all the A-listers from the R&B and hip hop scene today. The fact that it is held at the time of this famous Caribbean festival makes the idea of attending this hip hop extravaganza even more exciting.
