The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra is one of Central Florida's most renowned professional orchestras. The resident orchestra holds over 125 performances per season and is currently celebrating its 21st anniversary. The Orlando Philharmonic was founded in 1992 with the aim to promote symphonic music via cultural leadership, education and performances. The Orlando Philharmonic presents various types of programs. From September till April, the orchestral organization conducts “the Super Series,” a live ten concert season. This contains five “pops” concerts and five classical concerts. The 2014 season by the Orlando Philharmonic has invited guest violinist Elmar Oliveira and conductor, Albert-George Schram who will be recreating popular music from cinemas, Broadway classics and mainstream music genres.
