Hailing from Virginia, Native Run has described their music as country-pop with a serious groove. The duo comprising of Rachel Beauregard and Bryan Dawley are immensely talented. Their ingenious music has drawn the attention of critics and fans alike, although they have only a single to their credit. They just wrapped up David Nail's I'm A Fire Tour and will soon hit the road with Sam Hunt on his Lipstick Graffiti Tour. Native Run tickets will treat you to the duo's astounding music.
Beauregard and Dawley met immediately after college and while travelling up the East Coast, started writing songs and composing music. Their initial live performances were in front of friends and families, in an intimate setting like living rooms. The duo's vocal harmonies blended perfectly and they knew that together they could create something special. With Bryan playing the banjo, guitar and mandolin and Rachel providing powerful, sultry vocals, they had developed the right formula for success. Prior to forming Native Run, Rachel had experience as a theatre artist and had been part of many productions in the DC theatre community. Soon after the duo joined hands, they moved to Nashville for better opportunities and started performing as Deep River. Later they changed their name to Native Run.
While growing up, Rachel and Bryan listened to a lot of musicians and were greatly influenced by the 90s' rock bands. Both have cited Alanis Morissette, Metallica, Patsy Cline and Nirvana as their inspiration. Having listened to all kinds of styles such a bluegrass, gospel, heavy rock and country music, Native Run's music has a crossover appeal and they have developed genre-bending approach. Laced with superb songwriting, their beautiful harmonies blend pop rhythms with country beats. The duo has managed to achieve notable success since moving to Nashville. Their first EP titled "Good on You," has been making waves on the radio and has also managed critical acclaim.
From soulful vocals to incredible harmonies and fun, catchy lyrics, "Good On You" is a delightful track. The song talks about a girl who ignored her mother's advice of letting the guy make the first move and instead, she takes the matters in her own hands. "Good On You" has the potential to rise up through the ranks and become a smash-hit. The duo has set a benchmark for itself and the fans are now looking forward to a full length album by them.
Since the duo settled in Nashville, they have been touring non-stop and performing alongside some of the top acts in the country music. While they wrapped up a very successful trek with David Nail, Native Run is all set for a North American tour with Sam Hunt. In their upcoming concerts, they will be performing live their acclaimed numbers, The Party Came Looking For Me, Cheap Thrill and of course, Good On You. According to the critics, Beauregard and Dawley have a long way to go with their musical passion of producing music that centers on love, life and heartache.
