Nashville's stars are ready to hit the road again on their latest nationwide tour. The television drama series that began airing in 2012 has received immense critical acclaim from viewers and critics alike. The first two seasons of the show had a viewership of nearly fourteen million collectively. In 2012 the show won the Critics' Choice Television Award for "Most Exciting New Series". The musical drama series is created by Academy Award winner Callie Khouri.

The show follows the life and careers of various country music artists in the city of Nashville. Connie Britton plays an established country music icon, Rayna James. Hayden Panettiere performs the role of rising country-pop star Juliette Barnes. A rivalry develops between the two as James' popularity plummets and she struggles to maintain her status on the music scene. Newcomer singer-songwriter, Scarlet O'Connor (played by Clare Bowen) and Sam Palladio as aspiring musician Gunnar Scott join the mix. Other cast members include Charles Esten as Deacon Claybourne leading guitar player and songwriter, and Chris Carmack as another rising country star Will Lexington. In 2012, Britton received a Golden Globe nomination for "Best Actress-Television Series Drama" while Panettiere got nominated as "Best Supporting Actress".

The songs featured on the show's soundtrack are an integral part of the storytelling, portraying what the characters are going through at the time. "A Life That's Good", "This Time" and "Nothing In This World Will Ever Hurt Me Again" are good examples of such songs that capture the character's story.

With regards to its popularity and format, the show has often been compared to the hit musical series Glee, which broke several Billboard records. The major difference between the two is the originality of songs. Glee features pop standards while the soundtracks featured on Nashville are originals. All the songs are carefully selected by the show's managing producer, Buddy Miller.

Following a highly successful tour of the country in 2014, the cast members of Nashville will be hitting the road again in 2015. The tour will take the stars across eight cities in the US and launch in April in New York City. Carmack, Bowen, Peeples, Esten, Lennon and Maisy will take the stage and perform several hit songs from the television series. Sam Palladio will join fellow cast members in New York and Los Angeles and Jonathan Jackson will make an appearance at the Chicago show.

ABC Entertainment intends to provide a more complete and authentic experience to its audiences by producing the show's On The Record series and taking Nashville on the road. It also provides an opportunity for the artists to blossom as live musicians and performers.

Nashville live concerts have caught the attention of various press sources including Observer and Entertainment Weekly. Media and fans are anticipating another superb show similar to last year's. Nashville live in concert tickets have been in great demand since, and are expected to sell out at most venues.

Nashville's music has gained substantial popularity among audiences. Soundtracks from the first three seasons have been compiled into "Music of Nashville" collections. The show has also inspired a "Christmas with Nashville" album. Collectively, music from the series has sold nearly a million soundtracks and over four million tracks. "Fade Into You" and "If I Didn't Know Better", duets by Scarlett and Gunnar have been downloaded the most, around 250,000 times each.  The show's highly-anticipated sixth soundtrack album is due to go on sale in May 2015. The soundtracks have been produced in collaboration with Big Machine Records, Lionsgate and ABC Studios.

Prior to the release of the album, fans of Nashville were treated with a music special Nashville: On The Record 2 in March. Taped live at the Grand Ole Opry House the concert gave a small taste of the tour, and featured most of the cast members set to join the trek. Other country music enthusiasts are also likely to enjoy the amazing live performances put on by the cast members of the popular series.
