During the early years of her career, Eisenhower danced with several dance companies and choreographers such as David Parsons and Pilobolus Dance Theater. After gaining some experience in the world of dance and music, she formed her own company known as the Eisenhower Dance Ensemble in 1991. Eisenhower is now an artistic director, choreographer and teacher at EDE. Under her exquisite artistic leadership, the company has grown from a small scale dance ensemble to a national touring company. She has worked in conjunction with several renowned artists and festivals including the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, Warren Symphony and Michigan Opera Theatre and has created more than hundred dances for EDE including the Motown in Motion masterpiece.

Choreographed by Gregory Patterson, Ginger Thatcher, Joel Hall and Laurie Eisenhower, Motown in Motion theatrical is based on an amazing dance tribute album which contains the music pieces of the legendary artists in music arena. The show also includes the fan-favorite dance repertoires choreographed by two Chicago-based choreographers, Ron de Jesus and Michael Foley. The director and choreographers have skillfully put the finishing and dramatic touches to this amusing two hour production which comes together quite nicely to make this evening a magical and inspiring experience.
