Born Christopher Brendan Ward IV or more commonly known by his stage name mc chris was born on September 2, 1975 in Libertyville, Illinois and is a rapper, comedian and a writer by profession.
After graduating from his high school he moved to Chicago, Illinois and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. After graduating from there he took admission in Tisch School of the Arts in New York University.
He releases his albums independently and ever since his entrance in the music industry he never signed with any record label. mc chris self released his debut album Lifes a Bitch and Im Her Pimp in 2001. He calls his music nerdcore hip hop, which basically means the fusion of his geeky and nerdy heritage with a gangster image and high pitched voice of his.
Album comprised of 8 tracks and all of them were produced by John Fewell. Fetts Vette, a track from his debut album, was also featured 2008s release Zack and Miri Make a Porno, a comedy by Kevin Smith.
A limited version of album was also released on CD that also featured the sample of his later album Eatings not Cheating along with a bonus track titled Robotdog. Fetts Vette was also featured on an Adult Swim cartoon series Sealab 2021, for which mc chris also provides his voice for the character of Hesh Hepplewhite.
The track is played at the end of the episode titled All That Jazz. In addition to that Fetts Vette is also featured as an un-lockable soundtrack track on an internet game called FlashFlashRevolution.
Apart from his music, mc chris is well known for his work and contribution to Williams Street Studios show on Adult Swim. Some of his most notable works on Adult Swim include his work as a production assistant and his role of mc pee pants on Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
Apart from that on another cartoon series on Adult Swim called Sealab 2021, in addition to act the voice of a character named Hesh, he also writes it. He also co-wrote an episode titled Baffler Meal of the show Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. He also worked as production assistant and writer for the episodes, Brakstreet and Shadows of Heat, for the show The Brak Show.
He released his second studio album Knowing Is Half the Hassle in 2003. Like his previous album, it was released independently and was produced by John Fewell. Like his previous album, this one was also comprised of 8 tracks including Cookie Breath, White Kids Love Hip Hop and Geek.
The following year in order pay more attention to his music, mc chris officially announced his resignation from Cartoon Network. Ever since then he has been making irregular returns to the Williams Street and not the permanent one.
After his resignation he made his brief comeback once for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theatres and also for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am, a game released on Play station 2.
Mc chris is scheduled to make his major comeback to Adult Swim; with the role of red gummi bear called Gummi on Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge.
Mc Chris released his third studio album Eatings Not Cheating during his first tour in 2004. Initially the album was comprised of 11 tracks, but it was re released again in 2005 on DC Flag Records and also featured some additional tracks which were illyoi!, variety, and stop time. In addition to that the re released version also featured remixes of toothpickspliffs and my name is.
Eatings Not Cheating was followed by his fourth studio album Dungeon Master of Ceremonies, which was released in 2006 on Jet Pack. Like his previous albums this one was produced by John Fewell as well. The album contained 14 tracks and didnt do very well, commercially.
In the following year Mc Chris released The New York University 8-Track Discography 10th Anniversary Edition, which was a compilation album of both Mc Chris and Lee Majors. The album features all those tracks that mc Chris made with the band The Lee Majors before he earned his fame. The album was released on Whoa Oh and comprised of 15 tracks.
Mc Chris released his most recent album Mc Chris is dead, on May 27, 2008 on Amazon.com. Later on April 28, 2008 a hard copy of the album was also made available on indiemerchstore.com, which featured additional tracks as compared to its digital download release.
