Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson is a musician and artist known for his outrageous stage persona and image as the lead singer of the band that bears the same name. His real name is Brian Hugh Warner. His stage name was formed from the names Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. The name was the binding of good and evil. Actually, he was greatly disturbed by the dualism of American culture. People always asked him about the 'Manson' part of his name and not the 'Marilyn' part as written by him in his autobiography, 'The Long Hard Road Out Of Hell'.

Career
In music
Manson's early friend Jessicka Fodera's band Jack Off Jill opened most of his South Florida shows.

Most of the band's early recordings were produced by Manson. He also played guitar on the song "My Cat" and helped name the band.

Manson was successful in forming Mrs. Scabtree, a side project with newly-hired Jeordie White after being instructed by his new label Nothing/Interscope to not play any local shows, in early 1993.

Manson played drums, while White (dressed as a black woman) shared vocal duties with then-girlfriend Jessicka from Jack Off Jill who wore a blonde wig. Only two shows of Mrs. Scabtree were played in in South Florida.

In one of the music videos for Nine Inch Nails' song "Gave Up", Manson "pretended to play guitar" on the invitation from Trent Reznor.

Manson made an appearance as a guest on rapper DMX's album Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood for the track "The Omen". It was produced by Swizz Beats, and performed (with the rest of the band) on stage with Eminem as background music in the song "The Way I Am".

Manson enjoyed singing vocals on "Break You Down" off of the Washington, DC-based industrial rock band Godhead's 2000 Years of Human Error album. This album has the distinction of being the only one released on Manson's vanity label Posthuman.

In film and television
In the Murderdolls' music video "Dead in Hollywood", Manson made a cameo appearance as a doctor. He also appeared in the Nine Inch Nails music video "Starfuckers, Inc.", as well as "Gave Up", and Eminem's "The Way I Am" music video.

He was successful in getting the role of a pornographic actor in David Lynch's Lost Highway, in 1997. It was his first first appearance in a film. A minor role was also given to him in former love interest Rose McGowan's 1998 film Jawbreaker.

A cameo appearance was made by Manson in a short film in the BMW Films series. The film featured James Brown as himself, and Gary Oldman as Satan. The Michael Moore political documentary Bowling for Columbine is his most talked-about film cameo in which he discussed the motivations of the perpetrators and allegations that his music was somehow a factor.

In an episode of the television series Clone High, He played himself, in animated form in which he sang a song about nutrition and the food pyramid.

In the movie Party Monster, Manson portrayed a psychotic drag queen named Christina.He is featured prominently throughout Not Another Teen Movie, and covered the song Tainted Love for that movie.

In art
Manson was a painter of great caliber. He had a great artistic sense.From the beginning Manson has painted, the oldest of his surviving pieces dating back to 1995-1996. After his 1998 grey period, Manson began his career as a watercolor painter in 1999. Gradually Manson became more drawn to watercolors as an art form. He kept them and continued to paint at a prolific rate instead of trading them.

Manson was successful in opening his own an art gallery, The Celebritarian Corporation Gallery of Fine Art, on October 31, 2006 in Los Angeles. Manson's recent works were on show at the Space 39 Modern & Contemporary in Florida from April 2-17, 2007.
