Details of Maddie And Tae and the Ticket Luck value
The bidding country artists Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye have proved they have a lot more than what it takes to become superstars. Popularly known as Maddie and Tae, the duo struck gold in 2014 with its chart topping single “Girl In A Country Song”. The 19-year olds are hitting the road in June 2015 with Dierks Bentley's “2015 Sounds of Summer Tour”, with a kickoff show at Raleigh. They will also be featured on the upcoming June 8 issue of the country weekly magazine NASH, in which they'll talk about their preparations for the upcoming opening acts at Bentley's headlining tour. If you still haven't got your Maddie and Tae tickets then you should hurry up because country lovers have started raiding the inventory witness the up-and-comers.
Background and Meet Up
Maddie Marlow spent her early days testing her luck in talent shows and songwriting competitions in Sugar Land, Texas. Miles away, youngster Taylor Dye sung ardently at local festivals and tournaments in Ada, Oklahoma. The two were complete strangers until they hired the same vocal coach. They accidentally met at a showcase in North Texas and struck a friendship that was to last for a lifetime. Today Maddie and Tae is not just an ensemble, but a pair of friends having similar passions and a shared love for country music.
The pair paid several visits to Nashville during 2013 writing songs and recording tracks, gradually making its mark in the music community. They got introduced to names like Big Machine Music VP Mike Molinar and his famous writer Aaron Scherz. Their progress with Scherz led them to meet the label's Senior Vice President Allison Jones who suggested that the pair move to Nashville. Moving to the city was one of the pair's most crucial career decisions and meant giving up on their studies. Luckily the duo snagged a 'summer camp' publishing contract and moved to the music capital after graduating high school.
Writing Philosophy and Breakthrough Single
Inspired by the 90s country and Dixie Chicks music genres, Maddie and Tae's music depicts their casual and lively personalities. The two have been writing songs to convey emotions that they find hard to say in words and their lyrics often stem from their personal experiences in the past. Their lyrics run the gamut from consoling ailing friends to snapping at high school bullies through songs like “Sierra” and “After the Storm”. Vocal critics of the “bro-country” trend on country radio stations during 2013 and 2014, the girls sang their classic feminine social anthem “Girl In A Country Song”. The single cited numerous lyrics from popular country ballads, poking fun at the way they talked of the fairer sex. Advocating female empowerment, both Maddie and Tae believe that girls can do a lot more than just looking good. “Boys, we love you, we want to look good, but it's not all we're good for”, adds Maddie.
Scott Borchetta and Chris Stacey, executives at Dot Records, offered a recording deal to Maddie & Tae and the duo immediately signed the agreement with producer Dann Huff. “Girl In A Country” was released in 2014 under Dot Records label and became an ultimate country smash hit. The track became the Single of the Year on Nashville Scene Annual Country Critics Poll and had a staggering 23 million views on VEVO. The single “Fly”, released in 2015, was a special song for both of them as its lyrics emulated the duo's struggle and determination.
