LSO has always managed to capture attention when it comes to its performances or the people it has worked with. Steven Allen, Tony Bennett, Robert Shaw, Isaac Stern, Renee Fleming and Aaron Copland are among the musicians that have made their presence known in the past. This event opened to an overwhelming response making it as one of the most successful productions. Another notable concert came around in 2000 when a collaboration with Nebraska Game & Parks Commission and Nebraska Educational Telecommunications brought forth Nebraskaland. This concert featured a video documentary shedding light on how the war and depression took its toll on the people and what Nebraska had to offer in terms of beauty and diversity. The year 2002 marked the expansion of LSO's family series.
