Ky mani Marley
Son of Bob Marley, Ky-Mani Marley was born on February 26, 1976 in Falmouth, Jamaica. He is a singer as well as an actor and son of a table tennis champion Anita Belnavis. When Marley was nine years of age, he moved to Miami, Florida.

He made his debut as a musician back in 1996, when he released an album consisting of covers of his fathers song, entitled Like Father Like Son. But his next album titled The Journey was more successful on the part of both sales and reviews, and was released in 1999.

The Journey was followed by his next studio release Many More Roads that was released in 2001, and was also nominated for a Grammy Award.

Even more success was brought to Marley when in collaboration with The Fugees Pras; he did the cover of Electric Avenue. Apart from making his name in the music industry, he also acted in movies like Haven released in 2004, and 2002s release Shottas.

Marley also featured in a number of tracks including Puff Puff Pass by Young Buck from his album Buck the World and Equality a track by Afu-Ra from his album Body of the Life Force.

Marleys 1996, Like Father Like Son, which is comprised of the covers by his father, the reggae legend himself Bob Marley, is a roots reggae album and is produced by David Lee. The album was released on August 2, 1996 and was Marleys debut album. Robbie Shakespeare played the bass for this album.

Marleys second studio release, The Journey, was produced by Ky-Mani Marley him self was released on August 22, 2000. It was Marleys first album that comprised of his original songs, and also the first one to fetch him some good reviews along with some fine sales across the globe.

Album also featured one of his most notable tracks Dear Dad, whose lyrics were taken by the letter that Marley originally wrote for his dad after his death.

Marleys third studio album, Many More Roads, was released on May 29, 2001. In this album he kept the legacy of the name Marley alive, as this album is considered some of his finest works of all times.

It was his first album ever that was also nominated for a Grammy Award, although he wasnt unable to win it and the award went home to the award cabinet of his brother Damian Marley, whos Halfway Tree was among the other nominations.

Marleys most recent studio release was Radio that was released on September 25, 2007 and peaked at #1 spot on Billboard Reggae Charts in the October of the same year. In this album Marley drifted from the reggae genre, while putting more of hip hop in it.

Marley made his acting debut in 2002s release Shottas, which basically was a Jamaican Crime movie. The movie is written and direct by Cess Silvera and stars Spragga Benz, Wyclef Jean and Ky-Mani Marley. Although the movie was made on Low Budget, still its engaging storyline made it a mild success.
