The ultimate hip-hop festival is just around the corner and this time it will be livelier and much more exciting. Summer Jam is the annual hip-hop festival that regularly takes place every year at East Rutherford in New Jersey. In the past it was being sponsored by famous radio station Hot 97FM but recently now it is aired on KS 107.5. Summer Jam features some of the most popular acts that R & B and hip-hop are offering during the year. This show was mainly inspired from a similar format music festival also called Summer Jam that used to be very popular in the 90's. The show was organized by famous Los Angeles radio station KKBT but was discontinued after some time mainly due to the fact that the station switched formats. The show moves on in a unique pattern as it always includes the main performers plus special guests who are invited to attend the festival. The first leg of current Summer Jam was held in 2008 and since then it has been organized every year. The upcoming show will surely be a great one and will attract thousands of hip-hop and R & B fans.
 
Summer Jam 2008 was held at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford and some of the special guests invited to attend the festival were Ace Hood, Akon, Tity Boi, DJ Khaled, Ghostface Killah Method Man, LL Cool J and Red Café. The artists that performed here were Alicia Keys, Yung Berg, masters of rap Public Enemy, Styles P, Jim Jones, Kanye West and T-Pain. Pop queen Rihanna and group Gym Class Heroes were supposed to perform but due to some reason they weren't able to ensure their presence.
 
2009 Summer Jam was again held at the Giants Stadium and at Hot97 official website it was termed as the "The Final Hip Hop concert in Giants Stadium History". The show was hosted by famous personalities like Angie Martinez and Tracy Morgan. The list of singers included Jadakiss, Jim Jones, Pleasure P, Elephant Man, The-Dream and T-Pain. Guest-list included Styles P, Redman, Drake, Ace Hood, Lil Kim, Ron Browz. This time there was an addition as well as GS Boyz, Asher Roth and Webstar performed as Festival Village performers.

Summer Jam Canada was held in 2010, this was the first time ever that the festival travelled across the border and was held at the Bingemans Park in Ontario Canada. This time the hosts were famous artists DJ Enuff and DJ Capone. Show featured headliner artists Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Fabolous and T-Pain. Guest Performers were Lil J, JD Era, Serani, Evren, Magnum 357, Dylan James and Spliff Star. For the first time the festival also included dance crews like Moonrunners, The Union, Airtight and GeekFreaks.
