In 1992, Secada released his self-titled debut album that was certified triple platinum in the U.S besides selling over six million copies worldwide. The Spanish-language version of this album became the Number One Latin album of that year and earned him the Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album.

His 1994 released second album Heart Soul and Voice went Platinum in the US while the third one, tilted Amor earned him second Grammy for Best Latin Pop Performance.

Besides proving his mettle as a successful solo artist, Jon Secada also ventured in some of the most interesting collaborations of recent times. Be it the hit Spanish version of She's All I Ever Had from Ricky Martin's 1999 Multi-platinum self-titled album that he co-wrote or the musical gem Baila that he co-wrote and co-produced for Jennifer Lopez.

Secadas two time collaboration with teen singing sensation Mandy Moore and Enrique Iglesias and his duet with Frank Sinatra proved his infallible place in the music industry.

A sell-out name in music, Jon Secada also showcased his acting talent when he starred on Broadway's hit musical Grease in 1995 following by some more theatrical appearances. He has also earned respect for his charity endeavors as he is constantly promoting causes like education, AIDS research, and child abuse.
