John Tesh is a multi-talented artist who is not only a composer and acclaimed pianist but also known for his work as a television presenter and a radio host. He has recorded numerous albums since 1987, of which four have attained the status of certified gold, while alongside he has won six Emmyawards as a musician and received two Grammy Award-nominations. The artist has sold more than eight million records and his live performances have reportedly gathered over twenty-million dollars for PBS. His decade long radio show Intelligence for Your Life reaches millions of people every week on four hundred stations across USA, UK and Canada, under the syndication of Teshmedia. Besides being popular for his pop music, Tesh has also gained considerable recognition for being a longtime co-host of the TV show Entertainment Tonight, as well as the sportscaster for Olympic Games. At the time Tesh was already busy with a full-time job at EntertainmentWeekly, yet he performed quite well in the hours-long rehearsals and only managed covering one of Yanni’s tours, in which he performed in twelve concerts including the Concert Series of 1988, after which his place was taken by Bradley Joseph. With Yanni’s assistance, Tesh signed his first record deal with Private Music.
In the 1990s, John Tesh gained prominence for creating music of Bobby’s World as well as the NBA theme song on NBC RoundballRock. The theme song featured on NBC till the network stopped broadcasting NBA games following the 2001-200 season, and yet when the 2008 Summer Olympics were covered by the channel, it revived the same theme.
By the mid of 1994, John Tesh was on his way to performing at Denver’s famous Red Rock Amphitheatre where he would give one of the best performances of his career. He played with Colorado Symphony Orchestra’s seventy-piece under conductor John Bisharat. In 1996, after completing a decade long job as the co-host of EntertainmentTonight, Tesh shifted his career tracks to that of a contemporary keyboardist, which by 2003 brought him to beginning his own radio program called John Tesh Radio Show.
