Jason Mraz
Born and raised in Mechanicsville, Virginia, Jason Mraz was born on June 23, 1977 and has performed with the artists including James Blunt, Dave Mathews band, Rachael Yamagata, John Popper, Alanis Morissette and Colbie Caillat.

Mraz briefly attended Longwood University before studying musical theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. After doing so, Mraz relocated to San Diego.

Mraz made his way back to Virginia after signing a record deal with Elektra Records in 2002, and released his debut album titled "Waiting for My Rocket to come". The album was produced by John Alagia and received positive reviews.

The album received a certified platinum status. The first single from the album was "The Remedy (I won't worry)", while his second and third singles from the album were "Curbside Prophet" and "I'll Do Anything" respectively.

Jason Mraz released his second studio album with the Atlantic Records on July 26, 2005 and was titled "Mr. A-Z". The album was a success story as well, and took the #5 spot on Billboard 200 Album Chart.

The album also earned Mraz Grammy Nominations for Best Non-Classical Album, Best Engineered Album and Producer of the Year for Steve Lillywhite. Later on to support his album, Mraz went on a tour that kicked of on September 12, 2005 at the San Diego Music Awards.

Later that year in November Mraz also performed an opening act on five dates during Rolling Stone's 2005-06 World Tour. Among many other singers like Joss Stone, Michelle Branch, Brandon Boyd, Keith Urban and Michelle Williams, Jason Mraz was also featured on the fall advertisement campaign for "The Gap", in 2005.

The first part of his ongoing podcast was released in December 2005. Jason Mraz had his first sold out concert in March 2006, in Singapore along with Toca.

During his tour dates in May 2006, Mraz mainly hit few shows in UK and Ireland, along with performing at small venues and music festivals in United States.

An acoustic show with the bands like P.O.D, The Presidents of the United States of America, Live and Better than Ezra, was also included in the tour and was performed on May 6, 2006.

Later that year on July 1, Mraz also performed a free concert at the base of the Arch, while performing headlining act at the St. Louis's Annual Fair.

The beginning of the 2007 saw the release of Mraz's new single titled "The Beauty in Ugly". Originally the song was titled "Plain Jane" and was written by Mraz for "Ugly Betty", an ABC TV show. But he rewrote the song and titled it "The Beauty in Ugly".

Another one of Mraz's song, "Geek in the Pink", was performed on American Idol '07 by Chris Richardson. That increased song's popularity even more and downloads increased at the American iTunes Store. On March 10, 2007 the song was ranked at #22 spot on the US iTunes Store.

His single "I'm yours", gained popularity after his acoustic show at the Villa Montalvo Valley, and stayed at #1 spot on AAA radio charts in United States.
