Details of Jackyl and the Ticket Luck value
If you love to explore different kind of rock music then Jackyl should be your next bet. Famous for the songs Down On Me, and The Lumberjack, this American rock band has been making waves all around us.
Formed in 1990, the band has got popular because of their good music and Bravo attitude. No one can forget the feel and heat of Open Invitation and their straightforward and harsh pointed remarks on different happenings.
Their sound contains a combination of hard rock, heavy metal, and Southern rock. At times, it has been categorized as glam metal as well. The band made its debut with a self-titled album in 1992. Released under Geffen Records, the album went platinum.
The song She Loves My Cock, became little controversial with its suggestive cover and when a store K-Mart in Georgia refused to sell it, the band played an impromptu concert in front of the store. This was a bravo act indeed. Footages of the event can be seen in a music video of their single I Stand Alone.
Next came a sophomore album Push Comes to Shove in 1994 and Night of the Living Dead. Cut the Crap was an out an out rock album that Jackyl released in 1997.
Its hit song Locked and Loaded featured guest vocals from AC/DC's Brian Johnson. Johnson would also team up with the band for their 2002 album Relentless. Next came Choice Cuts in 1998 which was a selection of their previous hits along with three new songs.
Their fourth studio album Stayin' Alive hit the jackpot later that year. It featured three cover songs and three live versions of previously released songs.
Relentless was the fifth studio album from Jackyl. It was the first album to feature the new personnel line-up. AC/DC's Brian Johnson is the lead vocalist on the song Kill the Sunshine. The bands recent popularity is a result of their 2001 album Open Invitation.
Released after less than a month of 9/11 attacks, the album featured songs like I hate you bin Laden and Youve got an open invitation to kiss our ass.
The songs mixed in clips from George C. Scott's portrayal of George S. Patton giving a speech to his soldiers in the movie Patton and President George W. Bush reading from the Bible's Shepherd's Psalm Psalm 23:4.
The album rightly showed the anger that arouse as the result of that incident and received wide airplay on all major networks.
From then onwards, Jackyl has never looked back. Their 2002 release Relentless and a mind blowing performance in Rock Never Stops Tour followed by their second greatest hits compilation 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection: The Best of Jackyl has made them a huge rock phenomenon all over
Jackyl is a new-age band that has been providing us non stop music and unlimited fun for quite some time now.
