Future Bible Heroes is a spectacular American group made up of Claudia Gonson, Shirley Simms, Anthony Kaczynski and Christopher. The other two are talented and skilled artists, each of whom have made a name for themselves playing live music and recording some of the most sensational albums. Together, they are a group to catch live at any concert with Future Bible Heroes tickets.
Future Bible Heroes is a group founded by Stephin Merritt, known best for his work with The Magnetic Fields. He is also a vocalist of the band alongside Claudia Gonson, who is the band’s lead vocalist. Together, they have released many albums since their debut and are known for music that is primarily disco and electronica. Chris Ewen is responsible for the band’s music, best known as a member of Figures on a Beach. In 1995, the band rose to fame when it contributed a song to Red Hot Organisation’s Red Hot + Bothered album, an AIDS benefit album.
Future Bible Heroes’ latest album was released in 2013 and is labeled Partygoing. It is the band’s third album through record label Merge Records. The band is also working on a new super collection which will include music from the three albums, their several EPs, remastered and presented in a more delightful manner. Stephin Merritt is the band’s songwriter, writing lyrics and sounds, with Christopher Ewen composing the instrumental music that provides a backdrop to the singing of lead vocalist Claudia Gonson, also of Magnetic Fields fame.
Their music is often dance and party music combined with ballads. Their first album was released in 2002 and was titled Eternal Youth. Members of the group, most of whom are part of Magnetic Fields, then went on to work on four albums for Magnetic Fields with Stephin Merritt working on four musicals, an album for Gothic Archies and composing music for film. The band’s music has since then evolved into fantastical themes from B movies, robots, disco and science fiction.
Their new collection brings together all of their music as well as unreleased tracks and songs composed for movies such as Welcome to the Dollhouse. The band is set to go on tour in support of their new album. This is one of the band’s first full fledged tours since several years. They are set to play on stages in Hudson and Brooklyn in the state of New York, Los Angeles and San Franscico in California, Portland in Oregon, Seattle, Minneapolis in Minnesota, Chicago, Cambridge in Massachusetts, New York City, Philadelphia in Pennsylvania and in Washington DC.
They will perform at such venues and festivals as Chickfactor Summer Festival, Helsinki Hudson, The Echoplex, The Independent, Doug Fir, The Tractor Tavern, Cedar Cultural Center, Lincoln Hall, The Sinclair, Bowery Ballroom, World Cafe Live and The Black Cat. Each of these are venues famous all over the US for quality music and their concerts are easily seen live by the interested with several Future Bible Heroes tickets in hand, for a smashing evening of dance and music.
