Hanni El Khatib is the son of Filipino and Palestinian immigrants. While he was still a kid, he became obsessed with the famous music of 50's and 60's that included rock & roll, pop and Americana. This album contained eleven tracks such as "I Got a Thing," "Will The Guns Come Out," "Wait Wait Wait," "You Rascal You," "Garbage City" and "Build. Destroy. Rebuild." Hanni El Khatib was able to release another fine album in 2013 called Head in the Dirt. This proved to be an even bigger success than the previous one and managed to land at #35 on French charts. This album included nice tracks like "Pay No Mind,' "Sinking in the Sand," "House on Fire," "Save Me," "Skinny Little Girl," "Can't Wait Em All" and "Head in the Dirt." Head in the Dirt was produced by well known guitar player and record producer Dan Auerbach who also has his own garage rock and blues band by the name of The Black Keys.
