A critic from Billboard Magazine stated, “Grace Potter & the Nocturnals' new self-titled release finds front woman Potter and her band in full bloom, hammering out hook-heavy rock tracks with a confident, natural sound.” Tracks such as “Paris (Ooh La La)” and “Medicine” have earned Grace Potter and the Nocturnals enormous praises. In 2012, the band released their most recent musical project titled, The Lion the Beast the Beat. The New York Times stated that, “it is the fourth, and by far best, studio album by the band.” A renowned internet publication Consequence of Sound also praised the album by saying, “Potter’s vocals are gorgeous as always, besides that, the band has also successfully woven electronic influences into the mix.” Some of their songs have also features in a number of Hollywood movies like Tangled and Alice in Wonderland.
