Later, guitarist, Scott Tournet, keyboardist and bass guitar player, Michael Libramento and electric guitar player, Benny Yurco were recruited. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals started off as an indie band but with time they expanded the spectrum of their musical approach by encompassing several subgenres of rock such as country rock, roots rock, blues, folk rock, hard rock and rock and roll. Grace Potter’s exceptional vocal abilities and vibrant energy on stage has been praised by many critics. In fact, her voice is also sometimes compared with blues and rock cult singers like Koko Taylor and Janis Joplin. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals play around 200 live concerts on an annual basis.
