One of America's biggest electronic music festivals, FreakNight is making its way to Seattle once again this year. Expected to present some of the biggest disc jockeys, the multi-day festival will definitely be the talk of the town. The 2013 lineup of the festival will bring forth artists namely Benny Benassi, Boys Noize, Calvin Harris, Dash Berlin, Datsik, Delta Heavy, Destroid, Hardwell, New Word Punx, Umek and W&W. The musical extravaganza will take place at the Wamu Theater located in CenturyLink Field. Located in Seattle, Washington, the CenturyLink Field is a multi-purpose venue that caters to a variety of sports events. Its ground also supports the Wamu Theater that is known to present the hottest concerts of America. Apart from music events, the facility also becomes host to fashion shows, parties, meetings, conferences and dinners. The hall can provide a flexible amount of seating from accommodating thirty five hundred audiences to as much as seventy two hundred people. Apart from the main hall, the Wamu Theater also supports a black box with ambient lighting in an intimate setting. Over the years the Wamu Theater has invited artists such as Kid Cudi, Jack White, Snow Patrol, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Wiz Khalifa, Alicia Keys, Kenny Chesney, Chickenfoot, Big Sean and Logic, amongst numerous others. This year, the hall is announcing to hold another edition of FreakNight.
FreakNight 2012 took place on the 26th and 27th of October and was organized by the United States of Consciousness (USC). The show presented a total of four stages where artists and disc jockeys namely Armin van Buuren, Borgore, Chuckie, Morgan Page, Nicky Romero and Noisia, amongst numerous others played their tracks. The 2013 FreakNight show will present Northwest's seventeenth annual Halloween ritual where USC will present the best electronic experience. The company is not only known for bringing this annual festivity, it is also popular for hosting club events and a variety of concerts with the help of state of the art sound systems and lighting. Some of these events include Digital Affair, Hounds of Hell, Foundation Concerts, Zeds Dead and Get Wet Live, to name a few. This year's spooky mayhem will feature headlining artists such as Benny Benassi and Calvin Harris.
The first headlining disc jockey, Benny Benassi is an Italian record producer who is best known for his electronic hit "Satisfaction". Collaborating with artists such as Madonna, Pitbull, Skrillex, Gary Go, T-Pain and Chris Brown, Benassi is one of America's most popular DJs. In 2009, the artist was added to the "Top 100 DJ Poll" list of DJ Magazine, being placed on number twenty six. He made it to the list once again in 2012. Apart from this, Benassi won the prestigious Grammy Award for "Best Remixed Recording" in 2008 for Bring the Noise. Prepare to watch him live as this award-winning DJ takes on the live stage.
At the FreakNight show, he will be joined by Calvin Harris, a popular Scottish DJ who is best known for his hits such as "Flashback", "Ready for the Weekend", "Feel So Close", "Drinking from the Bottle" and "I Need Your Love". Over the years the renowned DJ has collaborated with artists such as Kylie Minogue, Dizzee Rascal, Rihanna, Cheryl Cole and Example. With a massive amount of nine albums that have been charted on the UK Top 10, Harris holds the record of having the most top 10 hits. If this wasn't enough he was estimated by Forbes to be 2013's highest paid disc jockey.
