The lineup of the ensemble comprises of young musicians from the Academy who have went on to achieve the appraisals of numerous music critics and fans for their extreme professionalism and proficiency when it comes to performing live. The members of the ensemble are either the current fellows of the Academy or either they’re alumni. During their live performances, the group members flaunt their skills of being the top notch performers that are taught to them during the course of the program. Over the course of its existence, Ensemble ACJW has given a number of performances across many concert halls in the country. Ensemble ACJW has earned the respects and appreciations of many due to its fresh approach which sets it apart from the rest as the group performs a versatile repertoire. From the works of the classic composers to the commissions of the present day composers, ACJW boasts having a diverse repertoire which keeps on surprising audience each season. Each year, the group also stages its very own series at the Le Poisson Rouge, The Julliard School and the Carnegie Hall. Quite recently, the series received positive reviews from most of the music critics. In addition to all that, the group also performs with numerous renoewned artists and conductors including Emanuel Ax, David Robertson and Sir Simon Rattle. With the help of Ensemble ACJW, the Academy also forwards its vision of bring the music to new audience. Each year, the group performs at the Saratoga Springs in partnership with the Skidmore College. The live performances of the group comprises of such musical compositions, which takes the audience out of their reality and indulge them into some other dimension.
The Academy wishes and envisions to produce those musicians who would want to grow as musicians, and take their art from stage to a much larger communities and schools, and hence exposing them to the classical music. Apart from being a part of the Ensemble ACJW, the fellows at the Academy also get to spend some time in a public school in New York City where they share their experiences and artistry as musicians to the students and school community. The fellows also get to organize a community project that would take the classical music to those areas of the country that are deprived of this kind of music and have no other mean of access to classical music than this. All these activities along with the professional development offered through the program, nurtures and hones the skills of the fellows as musicians, and their maturity as musicians speaks for itself on each of the group’s live performances.
