Editors is a UK based indie rock band that believes in making music with a 'pulse'. Formed in the early 2000s, it has been a decade since its formation and the record sales have crossed one million worldwide. The Editors didn't take long in coming up with their debut album after the success of their initial singles and released 'The Back Room' in 2005. Received with positive critic reviews, it was ranked at the 13^th position on the UK Top Charts. Critic reviews in credible publications like The Guardian praised them in words, 'The longer you listen, the better they become'. Their total number of album sales made it to 500,000 that earned the band a Platinum certification in the UK.  Editors further enjoyed the success of their release by conducting sold out shows in London and performed numerous gigs around the world.

The band took two years after their debut album to come up with their sophomore release, 'An End has a Start'. With songs such as Smokers, An End has a Start and Outside the Hospital Doors, it peaked the UK charts. The band made popular live performances such as an appearance in Glastonbury Festival and Lowlands Festival.

With heavy synthesizer tunes, Editors' third music album, 'In this Light and on This Evening' sounded different than the earlier releases and quickly made its way up on the UK Top Charts. . Inspired by the city of London both musically and lyrically, it was loved by their fans worldwide for songs like In This Love, Papillon and The Boxer.

On the whole, the band's musical style is influenced by contemporary as well as old bands and includes REM, Elbow, The Walkmen and The Strokes in the list. They have recently come up with their fourth studio album, 'The Weight of Your Love' featuring a number of hit singles like The Ton of Love and Formaldehyde.
