The Dia De Los Toadies is a yearly music festival that his held by Toadies. The guitarist of Toadies, Clark Vogeler explains that it keeps on getting better by the year. In 2011, it was deemed as of the best one to have taken place since the festival began. Clark Vogeler mentions that to him he it seems like a huge family comes together to perform live on stage. The plan of moving the fest annually has been the aim of its organizers from the very beginning. However, keeping the location of the event at the White Water on the Horseshoe in New Braunfels has always been a great preference for hosting the festival. The venue where this fabulous music event is held has many stages, a lot of shade and also the perfect Guadelupe River which cools down the live audience if desired.
The 2012 edition of Dia De Los Toadies will be moving to the weekend of Labor day and will be coming back for the third time to the venue of White Water on the Horseshoe in New Braunfels which is located between Austin and San Antonio. The plan for the 2012 festival is that the show will begin with an exclusive live performance with Toadies and then the main program will follow.
The Dia De Los Toadies is going to be hosted for the fifth time this year since its inception. The first festival was held in 2008 on the Labor Day weekend at the venue of the Possum Kingdom Lake. The event was a super successful show. The Toadies collaborated with their musician friends such as Backsliders, Lions, Tejas brothers and Dove Hunter. The show was such a success that it sold out in advance.
On the 29th of August in 2009, the second Dia De Los Toadies was held. The venue for the third event was near the Rough Creek Ranch which is in Glen Rose. In the second festival, the Toadies were joined by musicians such as Bowling for Soup, The Secret Machine, Eleven Hundred Springs, Ben Kweller and The Boom Boom Box. The following year in 2010, the third festival was held at Whitewater and featured an all star line up from Texas such as heartless Bastards, Black Joe Lewis and The Honeybears, Sleepcar, Two Tons of Steel and The Bright Light Social Hour, Centro-matic as well as Girl in a Coma. The line up of the 2011 show was probably one of the best that the festival featured. Musicians and band such as UME as well as The Black Angels and The Sword were present at the event.
Clark Vogeler's take on the Dia De Los Toadies event is that he and his band look for a rather diverse type of line ups for the event. Every member of the Toadies band is involved in selecting the sort of music to be played at the event for not just them but most importantly for the audience and their avid fans that join them in immeasurable numbers each year at the show. The most amazing factor of this music gala is that you get to hear many sorts of music genres in one great event. For example, from quiet acoustic music, honky-tonk music, a lot of Texas rock and roll music and a bit of country music, the festival seems to have it all to offer to the fans who love to listen to live music.
The Dia De Los Toadies event is soon scheduled to take place at the White Water on the Horseshoe in New Braunfels. Since for the last many years there have been advance booking sellout of the event, this makes it the ultimate opportunity for you to grab Dia De Los Toadies tickets.
