Founded in 1987 in Lodi New Jersey, Danzig is an American heavy metal band. The band was formed by Glenn Danzig, Samhain and Misfits and they usually play bluesy heavy metal style mostly influenced by early sound of Black Sabbath. The band released their debut album in 1988 which was followed by Lucifuge in 1990. In 2011, Danzig performed at the Download Festival in Donington Park England alongside Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, System of a Down and others. They also played at Nova Rock festival same year. May 2012 brought the release of the song Devil’s Angels, based on the theme of 1967’s movie of same name. The song brought back 70s style of Danzig.
