In country pop, one of the newest a voices of America that has made an impact belongs to Cole Swindell. Cole Swindell rose to fame in 2013 with his hit single, Chillin' It.. In 2010, he signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing on a publishing deal and began his career as a songwriter. Cole Swindell has penned songs for some of the best artists in the American music industry, particularly fellow country musicians. This includes Luke Bryan, for whom he wrote over ten songs; one for Thomas Rhett and Craig Campbell and two for Scotty McCreery.
He has since then gone on to shift from being songwriter to be a celebrated artist. On the road to stardom, Swindell has been gaining fans by the hundred across the US. His songs have been praised as 'infectious' and 'groovy' by fans and critics alike.
Cole Swindell also wrote a number of songs for different acts, including Chris Young's Nothin' but the Cooler Left and Florida Georgia Line's This Is How We Roll. In 2013, Swindell debuted as a singer and released, independently, his first song, Chillin' It. This caught the attention of several major labels and he was then signed onto Warner Music Nashville.
In 2014, he released a self–titled debut album that gained much attention on the charts and amongst country music lovers. During the same year, he opened for Luke Bryan on his That's My Kind of Party Tour and then played at a number of other concerts. By then, his debut single had reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and a Country Airplay chart Top 5 song.
Swindell also released a second single from his album, Hope You Get Lonely Tonight, which was co–written with Florida Georgia Line's two members. His debut album ranked second on the US Top Country Albums chart, third on the Billboard 200 and fourth on the Canadian Albums chart. Nearly a quarter a million copies of the album have been sold in the US alone. Over one million copies of his debut single were sold and it was certified platinum by the RIAA.
In 2014, three more of his songs rose up various US and Canada charts. These songs include Aint Worth the Whiskey, Hey Y'All and Let Me See Ya Girl. He has also released music videos for two of his songs.
