Details of Cherub and the Ticket Luck value
Cherub is an electronic pop duo that has taken the world of music by storm. Jason Huber and Jordan Kelley like to do things a little differently, a little unconventionally. And it shows in their music. The two of them have fused funk music from the 80's with pop to come up with a sound that is as unique as any on the circuit today. The duo is now on tour and will be performing around the country. Book your Cherub tickets and catch the two of them hit the stage for an unforgettable experience.
Cherub's story begins with Jason and Jordan meeting for the very first time at a dorm party at the Middle Tennessee State University. Both of them were involved with music in one way or another back then. Jason was a member of a band that was into psychedelic folk rock. On the other hand, Jordan was trying to make an impact in the hip-hop scene that was becoming a big part of the Nashville music landscape.
Jordan was making music for a hip-hop band and he asked Jason to turn his music into DJ music. Huber agreed and Kelley gave him “Man of the Hour,” an EP that he had composed on his own. The two of them went to work and that was then they realized that what they were doing had a lot of potential. It was a perfect match. Kelley's songs were perfectly turned into live performance material by Huber and Cherub was formed in 2010.
The two of them went to work and came up with “Doses and Mimosas,” the track that went on to become a huge hit. It was also a part of their album titled “MoM & DaD” which they released independently in the year 2012. MoM & DaD was a big success that went as high as the top spot on the “most talked about” chart by HypeMachine.
It was the breakthrough Cherub needed. The duo was under the spotlight all of a sudden and that brought their way opportunities aplenty. They performed at Electric Forest, SXSW, the Snowball Music Fest and last but not the least, at Bonnaroo. The exposure they got from those performances helped them grow. And grow they did. Cherub began to perform more regularly and those concerts started to bring their way more recognitions and headlines.
Cherub made the most of their potential by coming out with “100 Bottles,” an EP in 2013. It was another hit and the duo got invitations to play at festivals like Austin City Limits, Governor's Ball and Lollapalooza soon afterwards. They followed that up by going to Europe for their first ever tour of the continent. Cherub then released another EP titled “Antipasto” later that year on their own. Like the previous two releases, it was made available through digital download as well. The EP had the kind of music that Jordan and Jason had always thought of making.
Cherub has made an impact on the music scene and a serious one at that. “Doses and Mimosas” went as high as the number forty three spot on the Billboard Rock Airplay. It also went on to capture thirty ninth place on Alternative Songs. The track has also generated well in excess of one million hits on YouTube.
The duo has now signed up with Columbia Records and that is another indication of how far they have come since making their debut just four years back. “Year of the Caprese” is the title of their debut album under the Columbia banner. They are working on it and the scheduled release date isn't too far off now.
They are all set to take the stage once again, so grab your Cherub tickets and let the power of their music hit you hard.
