There was no stopping her after the release of her first album that went platinum and sold over a million copies. In 1984, her sixth album, I Feel for You came out. This album included a song that had primarily been written by Prince. Khan did a cover of the song which was featured in the album and turned it into a smash hit that sold a million copies and was a hit in not just the United States but also Europe.
On the 27th of September in 2011, Chaka Khan and her former band, Rufus were nominated for being inducted into the celebrated Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This nomination came that was collective had come after 13 years.
