One of the most famous and traditional Irish band is Celtic Thunder. It was formed in the year of 1977 and it enjoys popularity among the Irish and Irish-American circles to the present. The band has produced three albums called Celtic Thunder; The Light of Other Days and INDIE, which has a significant single like "When New York Was Irish," written by band member Terence Winch; and Hard New York Days in 1996.

The band has been located in the Washington-Baltimore area, since its inception. The band has the honor to play at the White House for two times, It has also played in concerts, festivals, and pubs in Ireland and the U.S. They give a special focus to the Irish- American experiences in their music. They have acquired the name 'Celtic Thunder', as they are from the Celtic music group and they encompass powerful ballads, popular hits, and great songs of love and loss from across the Celtic music collection of Irish, Scottish, traditional and contemporary origin.

The band was formed by Sharon Browne in conjunction with Music Director, Phil Coulter. Their DVD "Celtic Thunder: The Show" had proved to be an instant hit on the Billboard Top World Albums chart. It has also been listed in the number one slot for eleven weeks as of May 31, 2008. Their DVD is running on different channels in the US, on the Public Broadcasting Network The band members are appearing on local PBS stations, giving interviews and in a way promoting their fall / winter US T. Here we are going to discuss the details of soothe two of the very talented, but very young members of the band. The first one Damian, he is just a 15 years old boy. He is studying in a third year at a grammar school and he is living with his parents, brother and sister in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. He has a great love for football and even supports Manchester United along with his local city team.

As far as his passion for singing is concerned, he has been singing from a young age and won his first singing competition at the age of 6. He is an active member of the drama society and the City of Derry Choir. He has entertained teachers and pupils alike in school with his star performances. He is also in his local church choir and has recently recorded a gospel C.D. The year of 2006, saw Damian as winning a competition where the prize was to record 2 tracks on C.D. it proved to be a beginning of his career in a true way. After singing in the Millennium Forum at a concert for Derry City football team, Damian recorded a CD of 14 tracks, profits going to the local Foyle Hospice, he has raised a $1,000.

His participation in this project had greatly increased Damian's profile and songs from his CD have been aired on radio. He also performs at concerts for the Red Cross. Damian had sent a copy of his CD to Phil Coulter, who presented it to Sharon Browne. It turned out to be a way, for his invitation to audition as a singer for Celtic Thunder. That was really a dream come true for him to have been successful.

The other member of the band is Keith; he is 21 years old and comes from County Londonderry. Keith has been singing and winning the Derry Feis at many occasions since the age of 4. Keith is a very talented Songwriter and excellent Guitar player as well as an amazing singer. He had played at the Tavistock Festival in the UK in September '05 and then played the Lead in BBC's "Dha Theanga" in 2006.

He has also composed and recorded songs for the same show. He had heard about the auditions for Celtic Thunder, late on the day of the Auditions in Derry as he was just back from another trip to London. He was called into the Auditions on spec just as they were finishing, he had an audition and was selected to attend the final Auditions in Dublin.
