Scott Thompson, better known by his stage name Carrot Top, is an American comedian who is characterized distinctly for his bright red hair, prop comedy and bodybuilder physique.

Each year, Carrot Top stars for an astonishing 15 weeks in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand, headlines over 100 concerts across the country, and makes dozens of television appearances. At present, his dramatic muscle gain and facial change is the talk of the town.

Todays one of the most popular and successful comedians in America, Carrot Top was born and raised in Cocoa, Florida. Carrot Tops surfing than studying nature led him to Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

He appeared in his first stand-up comedy routine when he was still a freshman at Florida Atlantic University. A couple of months later, the campus bulletin board announced Carrot Tops open mic night. People enjoyed his performance and encouraged him to hold another night. He came up with a new stuff the following semester.

After getting his degree in marketing, Carrot Top worked as a courier for a bank, attempted to break into clubs, delivered bread, cleaned office buildings, and shucked oysters. A year later in 1987, a club owner offered Carrot Top to perform at clubs New Years Eve gig.

He performed well and the show led to a club owner/talent manager to set him up nearly every weekend at clubs across the United States. In 1990, Carrot Top managed to have his first booking outside Florida. The following year he made his first TV appearance on Comic Strip Live. He did his first turn on The Tonight Show in 1992 and there have been more than two dozen since.

Like only music stars, Carrot Top sold out Los Angeles Universal Amphitheatre with his rock n roll analogy. He then hit Vegas such that no comedian has ever presented a live show like his. Critics take Carrot Top a weird kid in school who does anything for a laugh and never grows up.

He is successful because his fans enjoy watching him with the courage to just be his off-the-wall, offbeat self. His concerts are filled with lights, lasers, loud music, fog machines and flame cannons. While, he ends his shows with not saying See ya later, but rather with launching into a rock parody of the likes of KISS and Mick Jagger.

Inspired by everyday life, and with no topic off limits, he adds a funny twist and pulls from his trunk a Dr. Kevorkian bath toy, a Dick Cheney Operation game and a Whitney Houston microphone-with-bong.

To-date, Carrot Top has made hundreds of TV appearances while conducting a spectacular array of stand-ups. But, the program that earned him international recognition was Carrot Tops A.M. Mayhem on the Cartoon Network.

Besides that, he appeared in ESPN commercials, on the American Movie Classics presentation of Three Stooges shorts, and in the movies like Chairman of the Board, Dennis The Menace Strikes Again, and others.
