He performed well and the show led to a club owner/talent manager to set him up nearly every weekend at clubs across the United States. In 1990, Carrot Top managed to have his first booking outside Florida. The following year he made his first TV appearance on "Comic Strip Live". He did his first turn on "The Tonight Show" in 1992 and there have been more than two dozen since.
Like only music stars, Carrot Top sold out Los Angeles" Universal Amphitheatre with his rock n roll analogy. He then hit Vegas such that no comedian has ever presented a live show like his. Critics take Carrot Top a weird kid in school who does anything for a laugh and never grows up.
He is successful because his fans enjoy watching him with the courage to just be his off-the-wall, offbeat self. His concerts are filled with lights, lasers, loud music, fog machines and flame cannons. While, he ends his shows with not saying "See ya later," but rather with launching into a rock parody of the likes of KISS and Mick Jagger.
