The newly minted Brooks & Dunn began recording for their debut album. The year 1991 saw the duo releasing their first album, titled Brand New Man, on Arista Nashville Records.
Brand New Man proved to be an out-of-the-box smash hit. The album spawned such number one hit singles as Neon Moon, My Next Broken Heart and Boot Scootin' Boogie. While all three songs reached #1 on country charts, the Boot Scootin' Boogie turned out to be an inescapable smash. The single helped initiate the line-dancing fad rocked-up country music bars across the country. Selling over five million copies of their debut album, Brand New Man transformed the duo into country superstars. The two also set out on an extensive tour for the promotion of album. Their unique brand of music helped create their penchant for Broadways as well.
Brooks & Dunn came up with their follow-up album, Hard Workin' Man. Like its predecessor, the Hard Workin' Man added to Brooks & Dunn's success with five Top Five country smashes. With such super-hits as That Ain't No Way to Go, Rock My World (Little Country Girl), She Used to Be Mine and We'll Burn That Bridge' - Hard Workin' Man sold over four million copies. In 1994, the two released their third full-length album, Waitin' on Sundown. The album was another fixture on quiet storm. It spawned five Top Ten hit singles which included You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone, She's Not the Cheatin' Kind, I'll Never Forgive My Heart, Little Miss Honky Tonk, and Whiskey Under the Bridge.
Waitin' on Sundown received double platinum status and propelled Brooks & Dunn into a blockbuster success. The duo continued their commercial success and issued Borderline in 1996. With two # 1 hit singles like A Man This Lonely and My Maria - Borderline proved to be a double platinum album. The following year saw the duo releasing The Greatest Hits Compilation. It spawned He's Got You and Honky Tonk Truth. They issued If You See Her in 1998, Tight Rope in 1999, and Steers and Stripes in 2001, along with several hot singles.
