It is as close to the recreation of Pink Floyd as it can possibly get. Fans have bought Brit Floyd tickets to pack arenas around the world and see this amazing set of performers live for a truly unbelievable experience.
Tribute groups and performers are becoming very popular these days as they should. They give us a real up close and personal experience with some of the most famous artists that have either retired or even more sadly passed away. These groups keep their inspiration’s work alive by dusting off the history books and re-creating the magic of what made them famous in the first place. A tribute simply doesn’t get any better than the Brit Floyd, period!
Brit Floyd was formed in 2010 and hail from the United Kingdom. It was created by Damian Darlington and Chas Cole as a tribute tour for Pink Floyd. Before 2010, Chas and his company CMP Entertainment used to manage The Australian Pink Floyd Show (TAPFS) but due to certain disputes they went their own ways in 2010. Damian went with Chas to form another band called The British Pink Floyd Show which was later trimmed to Brit Floyd only. Almost all members of the band have at one point or the other been a part of the TAPFS so it was a coming together of old faces to re-create Pink Floyd music like only they could.
The performances by the Brit Floyd are somewhat inspired by the last tour made by Pink Floyd in 1994 called The Division Bell Tour. That tour started in March and went all the way to October with the band playing to packed houses around the world for its fans to watch these rock icons live. It was the most successful tour ever by a rock band till that time. It had special effects, the likes of which were never seen before. The tour went to a staggering sixty eight cities worldwide to an audience of over five and a half million people. When it ended it was rated as the biggest ever tour at that time that made over two hundred and fifty million dollars. That epic tour ended on 29th October as the very last full live show by the Pink Floyd. They released a full album of that tour and called it Pulse.
Brit Floyd performed for the first time in the UK. The venue was the Echo Arena in Liverpool and the date was 22nd January, 2011. The entire performance was captured on DVD which was launched on their webpage. It was a ground-breaking performance that thrust the spotlight on this special group of performers. Over six thousand fans bought Brit Floyd tickets to go and watch their debut performance that day and none of them left disappointed. They followed that up with magnificent performances in other European countries and now they have made their way over to North America.
The Brit Floyd has received mass acclaim from fans and critics alike. They are looked upon as the second coming of Pink Floyd which is just about as big a tribute as they can get after all that is exactly what they want to be. After being a huge hit in Europe they are now coming to arenas near you to make sure you feel the power of their music and performances. It is a historic tour and Brit Floyd tickets are all that you need to see and feel the brilliance of this amazing tribute band.
