Signed to Epitaph Records in the US and RCA Records globally, Bring Me the Horizon has released a total of four studio albums and two EPs. “This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For” was the first EP of the group which was released in October, 2004 and re-released in January, 2005. Peaking at number 41 in UK, it gained the band a much deserved attention and later earned them a Kerrang Award in 2006. The same year their first studio album ‘Count Your Blessings’ came out and was released in the US after a year. In its support, the band went on its first ever UK tour along with ‘The Blackout’ and ‘Lostprophets’. In 2007, the band also headlined with Killswitch Engage’s European tour in place of Bury Your Dead which couldn’t make it due to Mat Bruso, their vocalist who left the band.
In September, 2008, the band released their second studio album Suicide Season which was recorded in Sweden. Before its release the album was promoted with a tagline “September is Suicide Season” and following its release, the band went on its first headlining tour of the US. A year later, the remix version of the album “Suicide Season: Cut Up!” incorporating a number of genres such as hip-hop, electronica, dubstep and drum and bass was also released. The band was also a part of the 2009 Kerrang! Tour as well as Taste of Chaos 2009 along with bands like Pierce the Veil, In Case of Fire, Black Tide, Dir En Grey Mindless Self-Indulgence and Cancer Bats.
Released in 2010, the band’s third album “There Is a Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is a Heaven. Let’s Keep It a Secret” won them the 2012 Kerrang Award for the Best Video of the “Alligator Blood.” In US, the album reached number seventeen on the Billboard 200 and on number thirteen on the UK Album Chart. To promote the album, they embarked on yet another headlining tour with the support of Architects, Parkway Drive, The Devil Wears Prada and Trek-one. Starting off in United Kingdom, this European tour is considered the best ever tour of the band that earned them much publicity and attention. Rock Sound stated it to be the “tour of the year.”
After the successful completion of the promotion of their third album, the band started working on their next album “Sempiternal” with Terry Date. Their first single “Shadow Mosses” released in January 2013 also got immensely popular in the US where its video was released by Epitaph a week earlier. The band also made several appearances in festivals such as Australian Soundwave, RAMFest, Rock Am Ring, Rock im Park and Warped Tour 2013.
