A classic farce Boeing-Boeing is written by French playwright Marc Camoletti. It was translated in the English language by Beverley Cross.

The new adaptation of Boeing Boeing was first staged at the Apollo Theatre in London in 1962. After 3 years of its successful run in at the Apollo Theater, it was transferred to the Duchess Theatre where it ran for a total of seven years.

The year 1991 saw Boeing Boeing marking its way to the Guinness Book of Records as the most performed French play throughout the world.

The stage production of Boeing Boeing was produced on Broadway at the Cort Theatre from February 1, 1965. It was directed by Jack Minster, and starred Ian Carmichael, Susan Carr, Diana Millay and Gerald Harper. After 23 performances, the play closed on February 20, 1965.

In 2002, Boeing Boeing was adapted by WILD RICE production in Singapore. Directed by Glen Goei, Glen and the company revisited, modernized, and relocated this classic comedy to Asia. Although the three air hostesses's nationalities were changed to Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan, but its still keeping faithful to the text and the spirit of the play.

During its run in Asia, the show of Boeing Boeing starred Lim Yu-Beng, Pam Oei, Emma Yong, Chermaine Ang, Sean Yeo & Mae Paner-Rosa. The plot of the play runs parallel to The Captain's Paradise, where the protagonist is a seafaring captain with many girls.

Boeing Boeing begins with Bernard who is a successful Parisian architect. He is shown juggling three flight attendant fiancees: an American (Gloria), a German (Gretchen) and an Italian (Gabriella).

Bernard tracks their airlines' timetables, while his long-suffering housekeeper, Bertha, reluctantly resets the menus and bedroom decor. Bernard has been successful at convincing each girl that she is the only one he has in his life.

One day, his old school friend Robert arrives unexpectedly. Bernard proudly explains to his friend how he makes his busy romantic schedule run slickly. Involving his country house, he also has a fallback plan for keeping his fiancees separate.

Things get disturbed when a new, faster Boeing jet has been introduced, changing the timetable. Situation worsens when weather delays occur.

Complications arise when the girls' behavior does not match Bernard's careful planning. Old school friend steps in to help Bernard and keep one or more of the girls busy as they arrive ahead of (or behind) the routine timetable.

It becomes more and more difficult for Bernard, Bertha and Robert to keep the girls separate once they all arrive. The situation becomes more and more difficult to handle. Bertha is pooped up and threatens to quit.

At last, the situation is combed out. Robert gets involved with the forceful Gretchen, Bernard keeps the feisty Gabriella, and the independent Gloria leaves to find a more pliable husband.

In February 2007, Boeing-Boeing was revived at the Comedy Theater in London. It once again proved to be a smash hit and gained critical acclaim.

The original cast of the production featured Roger Allam, Frances de la Tour, Mark Rylance, and Tamzin Outhwaite, Daisy Beaumont and Michelle Gomez. The play received two Olivier Award nominations.
