After the Cathedral of Saint Paul, the Basilica of Saint Mary is the most important Church of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul. The outstanding architectural display of the building is credited to the renowned architect named Emmanuel Louis Masqueray, who also designed the Saint Paul Cathedral around the same time period. Hence, it came to be known as the fist Basilica of the United States of America. One of the most prominent aspects of this traditional Church is the large number of youth that make up its huge and prosperous congregation.
