Aventura is a Dominican-American Bachata-R&B music group based in Bronx, New York. It is a four-man group which was formed in 1994 by the name of Los Teenager and later renamed as Aventura. They have introduced a new style in Bahcata changing it forever.
The Team.
The members of the team and their roles as they play in the group are as under:-

- Lenny Santos - Guitarist, Producer/manager
- Henry Santos Jeter - Singer and Composer/vocals
- Max Santos - Bass Guitar
The Group.
Aventura came initially into being as Los Teenager (The Teenagers) in 1994. They later decided to change their name to Aventura. However, their first song by which they were known across the nation was "Obsession," which dominated the New York scene in 2002 and since then a staple at Latin dance venues around the world. The determined four-man group (the Bronx-bred Dominicans and Boricua, Anthony) has given a new and dominating influence to boy-band genre and is playing a vital role of spreading traditional music of their island across the world. "Not to take boy-band lightly, it's a serious business" is what they say showing that the boy-band genre can work when you have great talent as your patronage.
Since "Obsession," the bachata has been changed forever. In 1999, Aventura signed with BMG. Within the span of three years later they gained recognition by launching their album We Broke the Rules and the smash hit Obsession, of which, Frankie J did an English cover and saw success with it and the remixes that followed in 2005.
The Unique Style. Aventura are known for their own unique style of Bachata created by infusing the sounds of Hip-Hop, R&B and Reggaeton. Another reason of their fame is their use both English and Spanish in lyrics.
The group although has performed consistently over the years but not have they stayed over the top all the time. Some of their milestone songs are Premio lo Nuestro, Premios Billboard, Premios Juventud, Premios ASCAP. The song Premios Casandra, a #1 on MTV, is in dedication of a street in the Bronx in the group's name. On February 22, 2007 Anthony Santos won Pop song of the year along with Mexican singer, Thalia for the song "No, No, No" at the 2007 Premios Lo Nuestro. Anthony, who composed the song, dedicated the award to his seven year old son, Alex. The albums that hey have released so far include:-

The Global Band.
Besides that the group is playing a global ambassador of their traditional music, they have been recognized throughout the world. Recently, the leader (Priyan Weerappuli) of the Sri Lankan group Pahan Silu, referred to Aventura as being among his greatest musical influences. Remarkably, Aventura has taken Bachata to such heights which were ordinarily reserved for mainstream English acts.
The group was able to recover from the ban for performing in Dominican Republic imposed in 2006 when a minor joined their dancing on the stage in an inappropriate manner.
